WETHERBY CAMP – 2025
CAMP AT WETHERBY RACECOURSE SUNDAY 3rd AUGUST UNTIL SATURDAY 9th AUGUST 2024 – COST £380.00
Camp at Wetherby Racecourse is residential, and whilst we suggest it is suitable for Members 11 years and above, consideration is also given to those approaching their eleventh birthday who feel capable of staying away from home and caring for their horse/pony for the week,
We also recognise that some members of this age are less experienced and may prefer the none residential, three day Mini camp. You will receive daily instruction in groups of suitable sizes and similar ability during a week away from home. There is always a really good atmosphere, with everyone giving a helping hand to each other if it is needed, especially if this is your first camp.
Your horse must have an up to date Equine ’Flu vaccination record with annual boosters otherwise it will not be allowed into the Racecourse stables A CLEAR copy of the record, from the beginning, showing the name of the horse to which it relates is required before arriving at Wetherby so that the document can be checked and filed, and must be either emailed to barbaralister266@btinternet.com or copied & posted to me at the address below –If the booster is due between now & camp, please let me know & send me the updated copy when it is available Remember, that whilst some Veterinary Practises send reminders, it is your responsibility to ensure that boosters are given in time – Don’t delay- check Today! An Essential Guide for Parents and a Camp brochure for Members, telling you all you need to know, will be sent to everyone who is attending camp.
· Straw will be provided – if your horse requires any other form of bedding please provide your own
Please note that Members must have been to a minimum of one outdoor, grass / open field rally since 1st July 2025which must be on the Horse/Pony they are taking to Camp
