Vale of York PC - Mini Day Camp 2024 is being organised by Rachel Garrison and the booking agent is Equine Bookings
MINI CAMP AT MILL LANE, BRAYTON ON 19TH 20TH & 21ST AUGUST 2024 COST £160.00 All Booking via www.horse-events.co.uk
· Mini Camp is designed to suit Members less than 11 years of age or anyone who is not yet ready or capable of spending a whole week away from home looking after their ponies.
· Riders and Ponies attend daily from 10.00am until 3.30pm then go home for a good rest following a busy day of instruction and fun.
· The three days are packed with a variety of activities such as jumping, games, flatwork instruction, Horse & Pony Care, work towards Achievement Badges and Cross Country Riding at Fair Oaks, Burn, Selby on the Tuesday afternoon.
· On the final day there will be competitions when you can put into practise what you have learnt, followed by Prize Giving with lots of rosettes.
· You will need a packed lunch for yourself and hay net for your pony – don’t forget a bucket for water so that your pony can have a drink.
· You will also need a head collar & lead rope so that you can tie your pony up to your trailer / lorry at lunch time + grooming kit and, of course your own riding wear i.e. Shirt, Pony Club tie & Badge, Jacket, Pony Club sweat shirt, beige jodhpurs, boots, gloves – a hairnet if you have long hair, to keep it tidy and a waterproof jacket just in case it’s wet!
· We encourage parents to stay during the day to support Members, but we appreciate that other family commitments don’t always make this possible.
· There is a section on the Medical Form for you to complete & return letting us know whether or not you will be staying with your child for the whole or part of Mini Camp. We can then try to arrange extra help if necessary.
· An initial deposit of £50 is required with each booking and the balance of £110 paid no later than Monday 12th August or, if you prefer, we are happy to accept the full payment at the time of booking
· Your Pony must have an up to date Equine ’Flu vaccination record A CLEAR copy of the record, from the beginning, showing the name of the Pony to which it relates is required before Mini Camp starts so that the document can be checked and filed, and must be either emailed to barbaralister266@btinternet.com or copied & posted to me, Barbara Lister, 27 Maple Grove, Fulford Road, York. YO10 4EJ –If the booster is due between now & camp, please let me know & send me the updated copy when it is available Remember, that whilst some Veterinary Practises send reminders, it is your responsibility to ensure that boosters are given in time

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded in full minus any booking fees

Entries are only accepted on this basis.
Health and Safety: Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
- Run under the Current years Pony Club Rule Book. Entry is taken as acceptance of these rules.
