In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded per class minus an admin fee of £20.00 (Booking fees are non refundable)

ENTRY

All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per ticket basis.

Additional Details

SET UP Set up will be on Sunday 21st July at 9am. Everyone must attend to make it please send a substitute or pay £50 CHPC for a teenager to do it for you. No exceptions!

Equipment

CHILDREN • Senior Camp is for children 12 years and over.(Yr7 upwards)

Pony/tack/riding kit – including neck strap

Bicycle – with gears – you will have to cycle uphill!

Cake to share with everyone else. (MOST IMPORTANT!)

Dress

For riding:

  • Hat – tagged with pink PC tag
  • Back protector – BETA 2018 Level 3 standard or BETA 2009 Level 3
  • Tack and saddle stand if possible (the tack will be locked in a secure lorry overnight).
  • Riding kit – to wear a white collared shirt with beige/white/blue/black jodphurs/breeches. Pony Club tie.
  • Can wear CHPC red XC colours on XC day at Wayfarer
  • Riding boots or jodhpurs and chaps (of an appropriate size for the stirrups).
  • Hair nets
  • Hi Viz – for hacking and cycling on the road
Equipment

For the horses:

  • Saddle/bridle/headcollar/numnah/girth
  • Tack Cleaning Equipment
  • Grooming Equipment
  • Fly rug or any rug that your horse/pony will need. Fly spray.
  • Buckets
  • Haynet
  • Mucking out equipment (including wheelbarrow)
  • Hay/haylage
  • Straw (you need to bring your own and will have to take home what you don’t use) NO SHAVINGS
  • Hard feed (your horse/pony will be working hard and will need some hard feed). Don’t leave in plastic bags outside your stable – at some stage a pony will escape and try and eat it!!!
  • Brushing boots if needed
  • Tarpaulin – to keep kit dry. There will be some waterproof storage space. Perhaps leave your trailer parked at camp to use for storage – and offer to share it.
Equipment

For Camping;

  • Bike and bike helmet/riding hat – we will travel to and from some evening activities by bike. You need a roadworthy bike with gears – the road to the pub is uphill!!
  • Cake – full size cake or a tin full of brownies/flap jack/etc to live in the kitchen for all children to share at teatime or as a pudding.
  • Knife/fork/spoon/cup/plate/bowl – labelled – these will be left in the kitchen for meal times.
  • Personal snacks including lots of fruit
  • Torch
  • Tent/caravan/horsebox and sleeping stuff
  • Swimming kit
  • Towel (2)
  • Tooth brush and wash kit
  • Spare loo roll
  • Water bottle (labelled)
  • Chair/rug for sitting on outside your tent or around the fire.
Vaccination Policy

Biosecurity

Passports and Equine Influenza: A reminder that any horse or pony attending a Pony Club activity must be accompanied by their passport. The first and second Equine Flu vaccination injections must have been given and, if needed, correct subsequent booster injections.  The Pony Club/BEF’s rules will apply and Passports will be spot checked to ensure all horses/ponies are up-to-date with their annual vaccinations. Those not complying will be turned away.  Please have your pony/horse’s passport with you and be ready to show the immunisation schedule.

BEHAVIOUR

Camp is run by volunteers with the aim being that all those involved (including organisers and instructors) have an enjoyable time.  Bad behaviour and language will not tolerated and may result in the person concerned / or their child being asked to leave Camp.

Entries are only accepted on this basis.

Health and Safety: The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all officials and stewards. Insurance: Non-Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club Insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Cotswold Hunt Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover you.
