Additional Details

This rally is OPEN TO ALL from lead rein to Open dressage. Most novice riders will be in the first group(s).

We appreciate this flatwork rally is being booked by jumping height… that information will simply give us a quick indication of ability level.

Parking space is limited at Darsham’s Farm so we aim to set the ride groups at up to 4/5 members scheduled throughout the day starting from 9am (although we’ll have a later start if we are not fully booked). Sessions will be 1.5 hours long.

If you need to be in the same group as another member (e.g. you are travelling together), please add that in your booking form. However, we will be grouping riders according to current ability. So too diverse a difference in ability may not be accommodated.

Numbers are limited due to parking and venue capacity, so please book early to secure a place. We cannot promise to give you a preferred time slot… riders will need to be grouped according to rider ability/age. Please provide additional riding information on booking to help us decide which is the best ride group. Include brief details of the rider and pony’s experience. Please also inform us if your child has any health or learning difficulties that may impact on their tuition/riding.

On site Facilities

Darsham’s Farm is an indoor venue. Carers can watch the session from the corner of the indoor arena. Bring hot drinks and blankets, and maybe even a chair! Toilet available. Horse water available. Drinking water available. No dogs please. Non-riding children must be supervised by parents/guardians at all times. First aid available during the rally will be covered by a trained SPC volunteer or the SPC coach. Please carry your own small first aid kit containing pain relief, anti-sting cream/spray, etc. We cannot administer medication.

Parking

Parking is on concrete hardstanding and is tight. Please turn your vehicle around ready to leave before parking. Do not block in any other vehicle. Please arrive no sooner than 30 minutes before your start time and leave promptly once your session has finished. Please pick up horse droppings in the car park area and take them home with you. Leave haynets on the lorry/trailer.
