*This camp is for members aged 12 years and over on 1st Jan 2024* and will be held at The Birks, Longhorsley on 7th and 8th August.
Members should be confident to jump 70cm and working towards their C/C+ test or above

Applications for camps will be secured on a first come basis and on acceptance of a £50 non-refundable deposit. Until your deposit is received, your place cannot be guaranteed. Payment for your deposit is to be made via Horse Events, then the remaining balance paid directly to our branch account in August.

Dress code cream / beige jods, shirt & tie, jackets
Members and ponies/horses can stay at camp
The camp will include flatwork, SJ and XC sessions as well as stable management.
Don’t forget that Pony Club rules apply, as they do at all other camps, we expect your horse to be well looked after, groomed and mucked out to a high standard and tack should be cleaned. You will need to bring hard feed and hay/haylage for your horse but bedding will be provided. Mucking out and grooming equipment will also be needed.
Dress Code: The dress code for the training camp is more relaxed, you are allowed to wear coloured or beige jods, you do not need to wear a tie and jacket. However, it is important to keep up standards so please try to look clean and tidy.
Don’t forget body protectors. Hoodies are NOT to be worn when riding.
Accommodation is in shared caravans, horseboxes or tents provided by members, please organise this yourselves.
Parents will be expected to help with meals and cover the evening supervision.
We will be going out for the evening meal.
LEGAL LIABILITY: Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the Organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor the Pony Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever
HEALTH, SAFETY & WELFARE: The Organisers of this Event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all the Officials and Stewards.
BIOSECURITY: Passports and Equine Influenza: A reminder that any horse or pony attending a Pony Club activity must be accompanied by their passport. The first and second Equine Flu vaccination injections must have been given and, if needed, correct subsequent booster injections. The Pony Club/BEF’s rules will apply and Passports will be spot checked to ensure all horses/ponies are up-to-date with their annual vaccinations. Those not complying will be turned away. Please have your pony/horse’s passport with you and be ready to show the immunisation schedule
