Dear All
Next year the PC70 and PC80 area eventing competitions will run at Bovington on 6th July 2025, whilst the PC90/100/110 will be held at Rushmore Park.
Unfortunately, schooling is not possible at Rushmore prior to the event, however Bovington has BE80/90/100 and Novice courses, as well as a 60cm one. They are building a new 70cm course but this is unlikely to be ready before the area competition.
We have provisionally booked Bovington on 17/18th May for an Eventers Camp.
Bovington has excellent facilities in terms of the SJ and Dressage arenas, XC courses and stabling, as well as accommodation, club house and kitchen area.
I appreciate this date is perhaps not ideal in terms of summer exams and would therefore be grateful if you could e-mail me asap to show an expression of interest so we can see if the event will be viable.
The camp is for senior Members aged 13 and above on 1st January 2025, who are jumping 70cm+, are confident in open spaces, able to look after their own horse/pony and hopefully wish to compete at the arena eventing competition. Consideration will be given to younger Members wishing to attend whom it is felt are ready to compete at PC70 eventingif there is space.
The cost of the camp does depend on numbers slightly but is thought to be on the region of £200 for two full days of tuition (all three ridden phases including XC sessions both days, plus non-ridden sessions on goal setting, course walking etc), accommodation for horse and rider (straw bedding/hay/haylage provided for horses, riders need to bring bedding and can sleep in the accommodation provided or lorries etc if preferred, lunch and supper on day one and breakfast and lunch on day two).
If you are interested, I would be very grateful if you could please can you let me know asap (by the end of November at the latest) so we can put plans in place. Many thanks and best wishes Katie
