This series aims to prepare our members for eventing competition (link) in 2025 with a goal of taking GRASSROOTS (70+ cm) and NOVICE (90+ cm) or above teams and individuals to the Area 9 Eventing Regional Competition at Oxstalls EC, GL6 8HZ on 19th July 2024. Save the date!
The 2025 BSPC Training to Event Series is open to all members interested in, aiming for or established in eventing competition – there are 3 targeted groups jumping at –
- Pre-Grassroots 50/60cm+ (No group for Session 2),
- Grassroots 70/80cm+ &
- Novice+ 80/90cm+
Aimed at developing your XC riding skills from judging time across the course to riding a wide range of XC fences and tricky combinations. Please enter the group well within your capability, we expect our groups to progress well with the potential to move groups as required and assessed by our coaches. Please make the most of all the branch rallies for flatwork/dressage, polework, gymnastic and show jumping. This will develop your partnership with your horse/pony for the Dressage and Show Jumping elements of Eventing too.
Body protectors and hats meeting current requirements are mandatory. Hats must have a current Pony Club hat tag and no fixed peak. Hairnets must be worn for those with long hair. Branch Pony Club tops with long sleeves. No hoods that can’t be rolled away.

Health and Safety: Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
- Run under the Current years Pony Club Rule Book. Entry is taken as acceptance of these rules.
