Area 9 Spring Festival Arena Eventing Qualifiers, classes from 60cm to 100 cm, qualifying heights 70cm-100cm. Competition open to ALL Pony Clubs, but qualifiers for Area 9 members only.

Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Withdrawal Date: 03/11/2024


Before the withdrawal date full refunds to be given. No refunds after closing unless with a vet / medical sent in by 19th November if refund due £5 admin will be applied. 

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded per class minus an admin fee of £5 (Booking fees are non refundable)

Entry Fees: £22 per class

Classes 2A, 3, 4, 5 are Area 9 Qualifiers for the Pony Club Spring Festival. The number to qualify in each class depends on the number entered.

Championships to be held at Addington Equestrian 1st – 2nd March 2025

All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per class basis.

Times and Number Templates

Course walks immediately before each class

NUMBERS MUST BE PRINTED AND USED IN A NUMBER BIB.

NO BRIDLE OR SADDLE CLOTH NUMBERS.

Rosettes and Prize Giving

Rosettes: 1st – 10th for individuals and 1st-6th for teams (teams of 3 all 3 scores to count).

Dismounted prizegiving after each class.

Teams

TEAMS:

Branches/Centres may enter a team of three members in ALL classes of the competition. The team members must compete in the same level of competition.

The team must comprise of three members and all three scores count.

Area/Mixed Teams will not be eligible to qualify for the Championships but can compete at Area competition.

The winning Branch/Centre team at each Area competition in each qualifying height will qualify for the Barrier Spring Festival. If any of the individual qualifiers are in a qualifying team their place will be passed down the line.

Dress

SADDLERY AND DRESS

● Cross Country compliant XC kit and Saddlery must be worn (see Pony Club Eventing rules).

Pony Club Saddlery and Dress rules apply. This includes a body protector and hat without a peak (both to be Pony Club compliant).

● Stop watches are NOT permitted.

● All Hats MUST be tagged with a PINK PC Hat Tag

● Please remember to bring your own Number Bib and print your number.

Rules

Rules and Conditions of Entry

Your entry is deemed to include acceptance of these rules.

ENTRIES

● Entries only online at www.horse-events.co.uk

● No entries can be made after the start of the class. Only fully paid-up PC members will be eligible to compete.

● Entries may be taken on the day subject to availability. These must be paid for in cash and will  incur a late entry fee. Cost per class on the day £30.

● Riders cannot take part in more than two qualifying classes per day. Horses cannot take part  more than once in each class or in more than two classes on the day.

● You may qualify a maximum of two horses and/or ponies for any one Championship Class.

● Riders/horses/ponies and/or combination of horse and rider can qualify for more than one  Championship Class.

● No horse/pony under the age of 5.

● In the event of cancellation, £5 of the entry fee will be retained to defray costs.

● No refunds after the closing date without a Vet/medical Certificate.

● Refunds after the closing date will incur a £5 admin fee.

● Refunds with a vet/medical Certificate must be claimed by 19th November 2024.

● After the relevant closing date, no substitution may be made for horses or riders except in the  case of illness, lameness or other unavoidable circumstances which must be certified in writing  to the secretary as detailed above.

● A booking fee will be applied to all entries by Horse Events.

RULES

This will run under the Pony Club Arena Eventing rules for England and Wales Spring Festival Rules 2025:

These general rules follow the current Pony Club Eventing rule book except as modified below:

● All classes will run as a two phase, in the outdoor arena.

● Riders will jump a course of show jumps immediately followed by cross country fences.

● Stop watches are n4ot permitted● The winner will be the person with the lowest number of penalties. In the event of a tie the winner will be the one closest to, but under the optimum time.

● There will be a drawn order with approximate start times given in advance on ponyclubresults.co.uk.

● The course will only be open for walking before the class starts.

● The Judge’s decision is final. Objections must be made in writing within 10 minutes of the results being published with a deposit of £20, refunded if objection is upheld

Terms and Conditions

PUBLIC SAFETY AND EVENT LIABILITY

● When not being ridden all horses/ponies must be kept to the horse box park or collecting rings. No exercising in the car/lorry park, or among spectators.

● No lunging.

● Horses/ponies tied to trailers or lorries must not be left unattended and no hay nets outside of lorries or trailers.

● Please clear up ALL muck on lorry park and collecting rings.

● All horses and ponies must be fully vaccinated against equine flu, according to the https://pcuk.org/media/eibpycgm/the-pony-club-vaccination-rule-v22-1-2.pdf Spot checks may be made.

● Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers’, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers’ of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders,  spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property  whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

● The Organisers reserve the right to refuse an entry, restrict entries and make alterations when necessary
