Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

No Refunds after the withdrawal date for whatever reason. Before this date full refunds to be given.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded in full minus any booking fees

Entry information

The Competition will be run under Pony Club Mounted Games Rules 2025

The aim is for the day to be a fun and friendly introduction to mounted games for ALL ages, from lead rein up

Class 1: Junior Novice

Class 2: Juniors

Class 3: Senior

Entries close Friday 12 April 2025 or when classes are full.

Entry fee of £125 per Junior/Senior team

Entry fee of £80 per Novice team

Where a Branch does not have enough people to make a full team, we will do our best to put together a mixed team

Timings to be confirmed once entries have been received – the aim is to run a morning and afternoon sessions for Senior and Junior classes and one novice session in the middle of the day.

Rules

Guidance & Rules:

• This is a friendly competition aimed at preparing the teams for the Areas 2025.  Riders and volunteer officials will be given lots of encouragement and help during their sessions.

• The competition will be run under the Pony Club Mounted Games Rule Book 2025 (“the Rule Book”), except were stated otherwise.

• All ages as of 1 January 2025

• Every Branch needs to provide one line steward and one equipment stewards for each race they are taking part in.  It is a matter for each Branch how this is achieved.  What is important, however, is that if a Branch has two teams in one race, they then have 2-line stewards and 2 equipment stewards between the two teams.

• Junior Novice riders can be led and can have help re-mounting.  An attempt needs to have been made first.

• Junior Novice riders are permitted to use balance straps and daisy reins, and pony nose nets.

• The usual weight rules will apply.

• Rough/dangerous riding will not be tolerated.

• Please clear all muck and hay around your trailer/lorry & take home.

• Children to be supervised by an adult at all times.

• Dogs on leads (please clear up after them) although the preference is that they stay at home.

Tack and Turnout

• Dress and saddlery rules to apply as per the Rule Book.

• All teams must have their tack, clothes and hats checked prior to competing.  All hats must be tagged as per the Hat Rules 2025.

• Teams to wear mounted games bibs or identical long-sleeved tops (without hoods); otherwise, teams can wear matching coloured silks if no bibs/Branch colours are available.

• The last rider in each team must wear the white hat band.

Neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee, or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
