Tiny X-poles clear round.
No fillers, uprights, back bars or planks.
Open to horses and ponies, children and adults.
Rosettes awarded to all clear rounds. (no run outs, stops, falls, knock downs or jumping the wrong course)

The height of the jumps will vary from 50-55cms

Riders are allowed to enter this class as many times as they wish but their first round will count as their competitive round. Any additional rounds after that will be ridden HC and not eligible for placings or prizes.
This class will run as single phase, all competitors will continue straight on to the second part of the course (the timed section) regardless of faults (unless eliminated).
The winner will be the fastest round with the least amount of faults. (a steady clear round will take the win over a fast round with faults)
The course will be eligible for walking before the class starts.

The jump heights in this class will vary from 70-75cms. The first half of the course will be 70cms and the second half of the course (the timed section) will be 75cms.
Fillers and planks will be in this class. No water trays.

No Refunds after the withdrawal date for whatever reason. Before this date full refunds to be given.
In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded in full minus any booking fees

Entries & Refunds: -Anybody that has been asked to leave the premises will forfeit any outstanding pre paid entries for that day. You will not recieve a refund for any classes yet to be jumped. -All classes are pre entry only. If time allows at the end of each class, riders may enter again on the day. (Speak to Natalie the event organiser) -Entries will be allocated times. We aim to stick to the published times but incidents do happen and we may fall behind time. All times are not guaranteed. We reserve the right to run behind, cancel, or amend any of the competitions. -We reserve the right to refuse an entry at any point throughout the show day. (For example: you have had a bad fall and are advised not to remount but you wish to carry on, your horse/pony is not fit/sound/safe or a rider is too big for their horse/pony) Any outstanding entries you have will be forfeited and not eligible for a refund. -In the event that a show has to be cancelled, all pre paid entries will be refunded in full minus Horse-Events non refundable booking fee. -If you arrive on site late and your class has already ended you will not be eligible for a refund. Any rider that misses their time slot for a class, will be allowed to compete at the end of that class only if time allows, they are on site, and are ready to go into the arena after the last rider.
Prizes: -Rosettes will be awarded to all clears in the clear round classes. (no run outs, no refusals, no knocked down poles, fall of horse/rider, no circles/crossed tracks or going past the line of the fence). Rosettes will be awarded up to 6th place in the competition classes. -Classes that offer prize money will always pay out 1st place regardless of the number of entries. (please see the shows schedule for the amount of prize money offered on that day). -Prize money will be awarded either in the form of cash or cheque on the day and must be collected before the end of the show. Any prize money not collected will be forfeited unless a stamped addressed envelope has been left before you leave the show.
Horses & Ponies: -All horses/ponies attending the premises must be insured for public liability. -All ridden horses/ponies must be a minimum of 4 years old at the time of the show. -All horses/ponies will need to be up to date with their flu and tetanus vaccinations. -Stallions are to be bitted at all times when they are off the Horsebox/trailer. They must wear a stallion badge at all times on their bridle. (adding a white ribbon to their tail is also advised) -It is the riders/owners responsibility to make sure their horse/pony is fit enough to compete and know their performance limits. – It is a legal requirement that you have your horse/ponies passport with you when you travel. Please make sure you do as you may be asked at any time to produce it and be checked. -The judges and/or the shows organiser reserves the right to eliminate any unfit or unsound horse/pony. -Correct tack to be worn complying with BS rules apply.
Classes: -All classes will be displayed on our schedule -In clear round classes once the whistle/bell has sounded indicating the start of the round, each rider will have approximately 3 minutes in the ring to complete their round. This is purly to keep the day running to time and riders may have longer if time allows. -The judges and/or the show organisers decision is final on the day in all classes. -There will be a short course walk before each class of roughly 10 minutes. -Showjumping courses will remain the same in each class throughout the day unless stated on the schedule. -Horses/ponies can only compete competitively in a class once. You may enter the same horse more than once in a class but your first round will count as your competitive round. Any additional rounds will then be ridden HC and will not be eligible for rosettes or prizes. (not including clear round classes) -Horses and ponies competing in showjumping classes will jump together but will be placed separately. It is the owners/riders responsibility to ensure that horses/ponies are the correct height for their class and entered into the correct section. -All competitive classes will follow BS rules unless stated on at schedule. Riders: -Riders are required to wear suitable riding footwear consisting of a smooth sole and a small heel. A secure correctly fitted, current british standard riding hat must be worn at all times when mounted. -Any riders who are travelling alone to the show are advised to give a contact number of their next of kin to the event officials in case of an emergency. -All riders are riding at their own risk and accept that horse riding is a high risk sport. -Riders should have full control of their horse/pony at all times and both should be appropriately skilled to handle any manoeuvre or obstacle attempted. -Excessive use of the whip, spurs, foul language, cruelty or abuse will not be tolerated and will result in the offender being eliminated and will be required to leave the premises. -Correct competition dress code complying with BS rules apply. Warm Up Paddock: -The warm up paddock is solely for the purpose of warming up the horses/ponies that are entered at the show. Travel companions are not to be ridden or walked round in the warm up paddock. -Practice fences are to be jumped in the direction of the flags which are on the top of the wings (red on the right, white on the left). -Please do not set the practice fences any higher than the current class height. -Riders are to respect other peoples space and not ride too close to another horse/pony or person. -Riders are asked to please pass left hand to left hand. -Horses/ponies are not to be stood in the warm up paddock blocking the way of moving horses. Please keep moving or stand outside of the practice ring or in the sand holding area next to the arena gate. -For everyones safety and to help limit the volume of people in the warm up area we ask riders to please only have one person on the ground helping you warm in/alter the practice fences. All other party members must remain outside of the warm up paddock. The Main Ring: -Smoking is prohibited in the main arena. -There will be a whistle or a bell signalling the start of each riders round, (even in clear round) you must then start your round within 45seconds. -Always enter and exit the arena at a walk.
General Information: -All gates should remain closed at all times. (excluding the main entrance gate) It is a priority that the gate between the parking field and the drive is kept closed to prevent any loose horses/ponies from leaving the field and going down the drive onto the main road. -No toilets on site at this moment in time. -No lunging anywhere on site. -Everyone is asked to please be respectful of our neighbours and surrounding houses within the village and keep noise to a minimum. -Please do not tie any horses/ponies/dogs up to any of the post and rail fencing on site. -All dogs are to be kept on a short secure lead at all times. No dogs are allowed in the warm up paddock or the main ring. Please make sure all dog poo is cleaned up immediately and disposed of. -No littering, please use the bins provided or take all of your litter home with you. -No climbing on or over any fencing or gates. -An official photographer may from time to time attend competitions and events. All competitors and their associates should be aware that by entering an event and being on the property are giving their consent for images to be taken. These images may potentially be used on social media platforms by Wold Newton Equestrian Centre and the photographer to advertise the venue, display results, available to purchase by the public or to promote future events. We may also pass on a start list to the event photographer who may display riders names, horses/ponies names, the date and location of the competition on their website.
Parking Field/Car park -All vehicles and trailers are left at the owner’s risk. -No skipping out any horseboxes/trailers onto the field or hard standing parking area. Please take all horse manure, shaving/straw and any loose hay away with you. -Horses/ponies should only be ridden at walk in the parking field and with the sole purpose of getting to and from the arena. No warming up in the parking field. -Horses/ponies must not be left unattended at any time when tied outside horseboxes/trailers. -All vehicles should be parked sensibly and enough room must be left for emergency access. -Trees that are in or over hanging the boundary of the parking field should not be climbed by anyone. – Anyone who is hand grazing their horse/pony in the parking field does so at their own risk.
The yard entrance is located next to a very tight blind bend in the village. It is therefore unsafe to have stationary traffic on the bend waiting to turn right into our gateway. ALL vehicles travelling from the West (Foxholes direction) are to continue past the entrance and perform a U-turn in the large area at the bus stop which is around 100 meters further on. You will then enter the yard by turning left into the property. On exit ALL vehicles are to turn right out of property, you will need to perform a U-turn once again at the bus stop before continue your journey home to the West. Turning right on entry and left on exit is prohibited.
SHOW DAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
Wold Newton Equestrian Centre, the land owners, any representatives, volunteers/staff or anyone associated with the business or property will not accept any liability whatsoever for any loss, damage or any stolen personal items, your belonngings are your responsibility. Liability will also not be accepted for any accidents, injury, illness or fatality to you, your party members or any horses/ponies or pets whatsoever whilst on the premises or later arising from any incident at the premises. These rules, terms and conditions apply to all attending the property and must be adhered to at all times. Being on the property and entry into any competition shall be deemed an acceptance in full of all the rules, terms and conditions. We have the right to amend or add additional rules/T&C’s at any time and it is your responsibility to check regularly that you are upto date with all of them.
Health, Safety & legal:-
-Your safety is your own responsibility.
-Everyone is on the property entirely at their own risk.
-Children under the age of 16yrs should be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18yrs at all times, they will be held responsible for the child’s behaviour, safety and welfare.
-Everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey any instructions of the officials and any site signage.
-On grounds of safety if we deem you unfit to ride (for example you have had a fall and are acting confused or you are intoxicated) we reserve the right to not allow you to continue to ride or compete in further classes and you must dismount immediately.
-Anybody acting in a dangerous, bullying or abusive manner will be required to leave the premises immediately.
-It is the responsibility of each individual to ensure they have personal accident cover and public liability.
