Ride
Lead rein treasure hunt and ride starts at 11.30am.
Entries are only refundable on receipt of either a veterinary surgeon’s certificate or a doctor’s certificate.
In the event of the ride being cancelled by the organisers due to circumstances beyond their control then entrants will receive a full refund excluding the booking fee and admin fee of £0.40 (Booking fees are non refundable)

Neither the landowners nor the organisers nor anyone acting on their behalf accept responsibility for loss, damage, accident, illness or injury to ponies, horses, riders and spectators or their property. It is a condition of entry that each rider shall hold the landowners and organisers harmless and that he/she shall be deemed to indemnify the aforesaid against any legal proceedings, expenses or damages whatsoever arising from any incident. Everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers.
Parking is in the North Parks at Belsay Estate, entrance on the B6309 Stamfordham Road, and will be sign posted from the A696 from both directions.
Food and refreshments available to buy. No toilets on site.
All riders must report to the stewards on arrival, and completion of the ride.
Riders retiring early must inform one of the stewards by calling the number provided.
Good riding manners are requested at all times. Please be cautious when overtaking others as they may be novice riders, or on young horses.
Hard hats and suitable footwear must be worn at all times.
Children 14 and under should be accompanied by an adult.
Riders should take note of ground conditions and ride at an appropriate speed to mitigate the risk of slipping, falling or losing control of their horse/ pony.
The route will be clearly signed with tape and arrows.
All riders must have 3rd party liability insurance.
DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON LEADS AT ALL TIMES
First group of riders move off at 10.00am, with the final group of riders at 12 noon. All riders must report to the start and on completion of the ride to the finish.
