Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Withdrawal Date: 02/08/2024


If a Branch or Centre withdraws a team or individual prior to the closing date for a competition, a full refund of entry and stabling fees will be made, less the booking fee. Withdrawals after the closing date for a competition will not be refunded.

In the event of a competition being abandoned, for whatever reason, a refund of 50% of the entry fee will be given. In such an instance the refund process will be communicated and must be followed.

After the closing date please contact the event Organiser dressage@pcuk.org to make any changes

Before the closing date please login to your Horse Events Account and cancel your entry. If a refund is due this will be processed automatically. To withdraw after the closing date please contact the event Organiser dressage@pcuk.org

Entry information

All entries should be made online using www.horse-events.co.uk. All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee as stated online.

This is a single booking form process, and entries will not be confirmed without payment.

For Pony Club entries you will need your membership number and the name of your Branch/Centre.

If you would like to edit your entry details change class or cancel your entry before the closing date of the event, please log in to your Horse-Events account and edit your booking under the “EDIT ENTRY ” tab.

For ALL changes of horse or rider after the closing date, there is a £5 charge. Please fill out the following form – https://www.horse-events.co.uk/rider-horse-substitutions-form/For substitutions after the closing date please email your changes to info@horse-events.co.uk.

Late entries may be accepted at the organiser’s discretion. There is a late entry surcharge of £5.

Competition Format

The competition is held in a 20m x 60m arena.

Dress – correct head and footwear (costume optional). Please ensure all hat tags are clearly visible.

Lead rein riders are permitted – leaders must wear a correctly tagged hat.

 

Saddlery – any normal tack and riding bit is permitted

Duration – the duration of the display within the arena should be no longer than 5 minutes (an additional 1 ½ minutes is allowed for entry and exit, music is permitted for this)

All rides must enter the arena at A

Outside assistance – voice, bell, whistle etc is not permitted

Props – there should be no physical props inside the arena. Small, unobtrusive handheld props are permitted.

The music shall be provided by competitors on their own CDs containing only the music for this particular competition. It is recommended that a second CD or storage drive is kept by the competitor to act as a backup. Competitors need to be aware that some CDRW discs cannot be read by all CD players so it is advisable to use CDR discs.

 

Eligibilty

No qualification is necessary.

The team should contain between 6 and 12 riders

The team can be from a Branch or Centre or a combination of both (mixed teams are permitted)

Unless otherwise indicated, competitors and their parents/guardians have given permission for any photographic and/or video footage taken of persons or horses/ponies taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of The Pony Club and/or Official Sponsors of The Pony Club.

Rules

To be run under Pony Club Dressage rules 2024.

Please print your paper number from www.ponyclubresults.co.uk when available.

Please ensure the competitor complies with eligibility, dress, and saddlery requirements.

A valid passport and vaccination record must accompany the horse/pony to this event and must be available for inspection if required by event officials. Vaccinations must be in accordance with the Pony Club Vaccination Rule.

Queries may only be raised via the event organiser by the DC/Centre Proprietor or their appointee. Protests/objections will be managed as per the PC Dressage Rulebook 2024.

 

Volunteers

Running an event such as the JCB Championships would not be possible without the support of our Volunteers.  Please consider giving some of your time while you are in Offchurch Bury to help us run the event and support other competitors by signing up to the Volunteer Portal – Register > The Pony Club (rosterfy.uk) –  where you can choose from a wide range of roles.

Legal Liability:

Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor The Pony Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.

Health, Safety & Welfare:

The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.  For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents from occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
