The Pony Club Freestyle Dressage to Music 2024
The Pony Club Freestyle Dressage to Music 2024 is being organised by Dressage Pony Club and the booking agent is Equine Bookings

All classes are held in a 20m x 60m arena.
The test may be performed in any sequence but must show the movements shown on the test sheet. There must be a halt at the beginning and end of the test on the centre line facing the judge. When ponies/horses compete as a pair they may separate during the test but the majority of the test should be ridden together as a pair. The test may not contain movements above the standard of The Pony Club Dressage test indicated on the test sheet. If included marks may be deducted.
The test should not be of more than 5 1/2 minutes duration. The time is taken from the exact moment when the pony(ies)/horse(s) move(s) forward from halt at the beginning. The test finishes with a halt and salute anywhere on the centre line. The music may start either before the entry at ‘A’ or after the first halt and shall be provided by competitors on their own CDs containing only the music for this particular competition. It is recommended that a second CD or storage drive is kept by the competitor to act as a backup. Competitors need to be aware that some CDRW discs cannot be read by all CD players so it is advisable to use CDR discs.

Withdrawal Date: 02/08/2024
If a Branch or Centre withdraws a team or individual prior to the closing date for a competition, a full refund of entry and stabling fees will be made, less the non refundable booking fee. Withdrawals after the closing date for a competition will not be refunded.
In the event of a competition being abandoned, for whatever reason, a refund of 50% of the entry fee will be given. In such an instance the refund process will be communicated and must be followed.

Before the closing date please login to your Horse Events Account and cancel your entry. If a refund is due this will be processed automatically. To withdraw after the closing date please contact the event Organiser dressage@pcuk.org
All entries should be made online using www.horse-events.co.uk. All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee as stated online.
This is a single booking form process, and entries will not be confirmed without payment.
For Pony Club entries you will need your membership number and the name of your Branch/Centre.
If you would like to edit your entry details change class or cancel your entry before the closing date of the event, please log in to your Horse-Events account and edit your booking under the “EDIT ENTRY ” tab.

Late entries may be accepted at the organiser’s discretion. There is a late entry surcharge of £5.

No qualification is necessary.
Novice Individuals – Open to all Pony Club combinations who have not:
• represented their Branch/Centre in Dressage at Open or Intermediate Area level.
• have not been placed 1st in an individual Pony Club Dressage to Music Competition at The Pony Club National or Spring Festival Championships.
• competed in any British Dressage competitions above Preliminary level.
Intermediate Individuals – Open to all Pony Club combinations who have not:
• represented their Branch/Centre in Dressage at Open Area level
• been placed 1st in an Open or Intermediate individual Pony Club Dressage to Music Competition at The Pony Club National or Spring Festival Championships.
• competed in any British Dressage competitions above Novice level.
Open Individuals – Open to all Pony Club Members.
Pairs – Open to pairs from any Branch, Centre or combination of Branches or Centres.

Please ensure the competitor complies with eligibility, dress, and saddlery requirements.
A valid passport and vaccination record must accompany the horse/pony to this event and must be available for inspection if required by event officials. Vaccinations must be in accordance with the Pony Club Vaccination Rule.
Queries may only be raised via the event organiser by the DC/Centre Proprietor or their appointee. Protests/objections will be managed as per the PC Dressage Rulebook 2024.
Running an event such as the JCB Championships would not be possible without the support of our Volunteers. Please consider giving some of your time while you are in Offchurch Bury to help us run the event and support other competitors by signing up to the Volunteer Portal – Register > The Pony Club (rosterfy.uk) – where you can choose from a wide range of roles.
Championship Merchandise : Beewear will be supplying the Championships with merchandise. Hoodies at the Championships will include competitor/horse name list on the back, all names who entered by Midnight 28th July will be included. Please ensure you put the correct spelling for competitor/horse’s name. Any entries made after this date will not be included in the hoodie list.

Health, Safety & Welfare:
The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents from occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
