About this Event

The opportunity for members and non-members to take part in a fun ride round the site of The Pony Club Championships. The ride is approx. 6km covering sections of the cross-country course, a water crossing and fields. For members, there will be the opportunity to achieve the Intro to Endurance Pony Club badge with a trot up and ‘vet-check’ at the start and end of the ride.  Non-members will be able to participate in this and will gain a Certificate which can then be used for the Intro to Endurance award once they become a Member

Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

If a Branch or Centre withdraws a team or individual prior to the closing date for a competition, a full refund of entry and stabling fees will be made, less an administration charge. Withdrawals after the closing date for a competition will not be refunded.

In the event of a competition being abandoned, for whatever reason, a refund of 50% of the entry fee will be given. In such an instance the refund process will be communicated and must be followed.

After the closing date please contact the event Organiser endurance@pcuk.org to make any changes

Before the closing date please login to your Horse Events Account and cancel your entry. If a refund is due this will be processed automatically. To withdraw after the closing date please contact the event Organiser endurance@pcuk.org

Sunday 11th August 13:00 – 15:30

The opportunity for members and non-members to take part in a fun ride round the site of The Pony Club Championships. The ride is approx. 6km covering sections of the cross-country course, a water crossing and fields. For members, there will be the opportunity to achieve the Intro to Endurance Pony Club badge with a trot up and ‘vet-check’ at the start and end of the ride.  Non-members will be able to participate in this and will gain a Certificate which can then be used for the Intro to Endurance award once they become a Member.

Times will be allocated within the hour slot selected on your entry.  Accompanying adult, if with a separate entry, needs to select the same timeslot as the u13 entrant.

You may ride in groups. There is a limit of 12 entries per half hour and entry to time slots is first come first served. We will try our best to accommodate your wishes, so if you are unable to all enter the same time slot, please enter two time slots next to each other and specify who you want to ride with. To make the event as enjoyable as possible for everyone, we ask that groups are no larger than six.

Sunday 11th August 15:30 – 17:00

This slot is for lead-rein horses/ponies only. Leaders must be over 18. Only lead rein horses/ponies will be on the course at this time.

Intro to Endurance Badge

Members and non-members wishing to take part in the Intro to Endurance Badge should familiarise themselves with the syllabus prior to the event.

 

Entry information

All entries should be made online using www.horse-events.co.uk. All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee as stated online.

This is a single booking form process, and entries will not be confirmed without payment.

For Pony Club entries you will need your membership number and the name of your Branch/Centre.

If you would like to edit your entry details change class or cancel your entry before the closing date of the event, please log in to your Horse-Events account and edit your booking under the “EDIT ENTRY ” tab.

For ALL changes of horse or rider after the closing date, there is a £5 charge. Please fill out the following form – https://www.horse-events.co.uk/rider-horse-substitutions-form/For substitutions after the closing date please email your changes to info@horse-events.co.uk.

Late entries may be accepted at the organiser’s discretion. There is a late entry surcharge of £5.

Entry includes the opportunity to complete the Intro to Endurance badge. Class only open to members who have an unmounted adult leading them.

Please make it clear on the under-13s entry who their accompanying rider will be.

The Endurance Fun Ride can count towards the Intro to Endurance Badge for non-members if they subsequently become members.

Volunteers

Running an event such as the JCB Championships would not be possible without the support of our Volunteers.  Please consider giving some of your time while you are in Offchurch Bury to help us run the event and support other competitors by signing up to the Volunteer Portal – Register > The Pony Club (rosterfy.uk) –  where you can choose from a wide range of roles.

Additional Details

Beewear will be supplying the Championships with merchandise. Hoodies at the Championships will include competitor/horse name list on the back, all names who entered by Midnight 28th July will be included. Please ensure you put the correct spelling for competitor/horse’s name. Any entries made after this date will not be included in the hoodie list.

Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor The Pony Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.

Health, Safety & Welfare:

The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.  For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents from occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
