12. The draw will be made at the close of declarations and the drawn order will be displayed in the Collecting Ring shortly thereafter.

13. Both members of each team enter the arena together.

14. The start will be supervised by a judge. Choice of course will be decided between the two teams by the starting judge tossing a coin.

Failure to pass the whip behind the start line incurs elimination of the team.

20. A time penalty of 5 seconds will be given for any knock downs of fences or for any displacement of tennis ball from cone incurred during any round.

21. The winner from each pair of teams proceeds to the next round of the competition, until the final pair of competitors meet in the last round to decide the winner of the competition. Third place will be decided similarly by a jump from the losing semi-finalists.

22. In the event of equality between teams, one member of each team will jump again against each other.

23. The judges’ decision is final, and they may disqualify any rider at any stage in the competition for dangerous riding, inappropriate behaviour, misuse of whip or spurs, ill treatment of the horse or if in their opinion the horse is lame, sick or exhausted. See PC rules for definition of these terms.
