Teams of four- Ages to be 10 years and under on the 1st of January of competition year, with one member to be 8 years and under.

Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

No Refunds after the withdrawal date for whatever reason. Before this date full refunds to be given.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel 50% of your entry fee will be refunded, minus any Booking fees.

The Mini team’s competition will commence at 10:00am (Check in from 9:00am) Junior/ Senior team’s at approximately 2:00pm (Check in from 1:00pm) £45 per team  Booking – www.horse-events.co.uk

Prizes & Prize Giving

Prize Giving after each section. All competing members are expected to be at the prizegiving.

Rosettes will be awarded to teams up to 10th place in each class.

Terms and Conditions

• The competition comprises of a Mini and Junior/Senior competition.  

• All teams can be made up with one member only who has also competed at another level in this year’s competition provided they are eligible.  

• Complete teams may not compete at more than one level. 

• The Pony Club would rather have teams of four, but if you cannot get a 4th member then they will allow teams of 3 to Area and Final Competition.  

• If you have a team of 3 then the following age rules apply: 

Mini – Ages to be 10 years and under on the 1st of January of competition year,  with one member that must be 8 years and under.

Junior/Senior – Must have one member to be aged 14 years and under and the other two can be any age up to 25.

All ages will be taken from the 1st January 2025.

  • Each team must provide at least 2 volunteers to run a quiz section. 
  • All Team Managers must arrive 30 minutes before the competition to attend a briefing on how the competition will be run. 9:30am – Minis/ 1:30pm Juniors/Seniors.
  • All Members should be dressed in Branch/Centre Pony Club polo shirt & sweatshirt, comfortable trousers and comfortable shoes.

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. All persons entering the site shall be bound by these Rules and Conditions of Entry. 

2. The judges / scorers decision is final. 

3. EACH TEAM MUST PROVIDE AT LEAST 2 VOLUNTEERS TO RUN A QUIZ SECTION.

5. Withdrawals – an admin fee will be deducted from any refunds made before the closing date. No refunds will be made after the closing date unless a medical certificate is provided within 1 week of the event. (Subject to notification of withdrawal prior to the event, and less the admin fee). 

6. No dogs allowed on site at any time. 

7. Legal Liability: save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to competitors, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. 

8. Health and Safety: Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards. 

9. Privacy Notice: Please note that we will be publishing the competitors’ results on the ‘Pony Club Results’ website. This will include competitors’ name, branch and full results. If you wish your details to be excluded from this please make a note of this on your entry form. 

10. There will be a photographer on site. By entering this event, competitors and their parents / guardians have given permission for their photo to be taken and uploaded online for viewing. Please let an official know if you do not consent to your child’s photo being published on the Area 10 website. 

There will be light refreshments available to purchase on the day. 

This will be cash only, so please bring some change.

The Dodson and Horrell National Quiz Final will take place on the 

4th May 2025 at Sheffield Wednesday Football Stadium
