Entry Conditions

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY This event is open to ALL.

Pony Club members will be covered on PC insurance, non-pony club members must be covered by their own insurance. Competitors take part at their own risk. The decisions of the Judges and of the Organisers are final No combination may compete in more than two classes. Riders may not ride more than 2 ponies. A pony may be ridden by 2 riders in the same or different classes, but no pony may compete in more than 2 classes in total.

HARD HATS must be worn at all times, with chinstrap fastened, when mounted and must conform to PAS015: 2011 with BSI Kitemark, VG1 with BSI Kitemark, or AS/NZS 3838 1998, 2003 or 2006 standard.

ALL HATS MUST BE/BRC/ PONY CLUB TAGGED. (2023 PINK TAG).

Jockey skullcap be worn for XC riding, no fixed peaks. No recording devices or stopwatches are permitted. Please note that from the 1st January 2023, the following hat standards will no longer be accepted: 1. PAS O15 1998 2. SNELL 2001 To manage this change, a new colour of hat tag will be issued. This colour is PINK BODY PROTECTORS LEVEL 3 must be worn cross-country. BETA 2018 level 3 standard (blue & black label). Air jackets may be worn in addition to a body protector, but not on their own.

BODY CAGES: keys must be left with the organiser who will give them to the medical team.

DRESS –Pony Club sweatshirt or XC colours. No earrings allowed. Anyone assisting (i.e. leading/running alongside a competitor) must wear appropriate clothing and footwear

NO DOGS on site.

WITHDRAWAL: No entry fees will be refunded for withdrawals after the closing date unless a veterinary certificate is presented.   In any event £6 will be retained to cover administration costs.

CANCELLATION:  In the event of cancellation entry fees will be returned, less £6.00 per competitor via horse-events. If you would like to edit your horse or rider details before the closing date of the event please login to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under the ‘MY BOOKING’ Tab. If you would like to change the class please email info@horse-events.co.uk and if there is space available we will do this for you. For ALL changes of horse and rider substitutions after the closing date there is a £5 charge please fill out the following form online at: https://www.horse-events.co.uk/rider-horse-substitutions-form/ All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per class basis Online Entry at Horse-events.co.uk

Terms and Conditions

The Organisers for this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.   For measures to be effective, everyone MUST take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all Officials and Stewards.

LIABILITY:  Although every care will be taken, neither the organisers nor any person acting on their behalf or the Landowners can accept any liability for the loss, damaged, accident or injury to persons, horses or property.

ELIMINATION: Competitors must leave the course at a request from a Fence Judge or Official following either three refusals at one fence or taking the wrong course. Refusals are not counted but will affect your time round the course.
