Terms and Conditions

STOKE HILL AND NORTH DARTMOOR BEAGLES FUN RIDE, POWDERHAM ESTATE, SUNDAY 27th APRIL 2025

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions apply to all participants, their families and supporters.

INSURANCE

The organisers of the Fun Ride have full Third Party Public Liability insurance with Lycetts for participating riders and horses ONLY. This cover does NOT extend to families in support of riders and horses.

The organisers and the Powderham estate DO NOT accept responsibility for any rider, horse/pony or member of the public who has an accident or injury through their own negligence or fault.

All participants taking part in the fun ride do so at their own risk and should have their own insurance including Third Party cover in place for both rider and horse/pony.

SUPPORT TEAMS AND FAMILY MEMBERS

All support teams and family members should take care around the vehicle park amongst vehicles and horses.

No horse should be left unattended or allowed to roam loose without halter, lead and under full control.

All dogs MUST be kept on a lead at all times and under control and all dog poo picked up in bags and deposited in our black refuse bags located at the refreshments and entries tents, entrance gate and Portaloos.

WALKING THE COURSE

The organisers and the Powderham estate accept no responsibility for families and support teams who venture out of the base location and vehicle park at Willsworthy onto the estate and course.

If a family or support team member needs to accompany an under 16 rider on foot around the course they are to declare this requirement to the Entries Secretary.

Please be aware the estate is privately owned land and we all need to treat it with respect. Walking the course is discouraged since the organisers will have no idea who is out on foot on the course or where they are, whereas we do know exactly which riders and horses are out on the course at any one time and which sector they are in if they have a problem.

ALL INDIVIDUALS ARE ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ANY OF THESE PROTOCOLS WILL RENDER THE INDIVIDUAL PERSONALLY LIABLE UNDER THEIR OWN INSURANCE COVER
