Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Withdrawal Date: 07/02/2025


Refund minus an admin fee of £3.50 up until Withdrawal date. Withdrawal thereafter cannot be refunded unless production of a vet or doctor’s certificate within 7 days of the competition.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded per class minus an admin fee of £5.00 (Booking fees are non refundable)

Entry information

Classes 1–3 are qualifiers for the Mini Championship 2025 but also open to ALL

All classes will be run as single phase, teams of 3 or 4 riders, with the top 3 scores to count.

Qualifications for Mini Championships – Pony Club Members ONLY

The top two highest placed Pony Club teams (if 5 or more teams entered), or highest placed team (if less than 5 teams entered), and top 3 highest placed individual Pony Club members at each competition of the following levels: 40cm Lead Rein, 40cm Assisted, 40cm Open, 50cm and 60cm will qualify for the Mini Championships which will be held in August 2025.

Riders who have competed at the Regional Show Jumping or Eventing competitions are not eligible for the Mini Championships. No whips are permitted in the 40cm Lead Rein class.

Rules

General Rules

• Entries accepted and admission granted only subject to the following conditions, and it is a condition of entry that these have been accepted by each competitor

• To be run in accordance with Pony Club Rules

• Classes will be run as Single Phase

• Horses/ponies may not enter more than 2 classes

• The jumps in the warmup arena must not exceed the height of those in the ring

• Late entries accepted at Organisers discretion

• The Judge or Committee’s decision is final in all matters, any objections must be accompanied by £25 deposit which will be returned if upheld

• Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the safety of horses, riders and persons present, the SHPC, or the landowner, cannot be held responsible for any accident however caused

• All competitors compete at their own risk

• We reserve the right to split/amalgamate classes if necessary

• Horses and ponies should have a valid passport and failure to produce one for inspection will be the owner’s responsibility

• No refunds after the closing date, 50% refund before the closing date

• If the competition has to be abandoned by the organisers, 50% of the entry fee will be refunded

• Horses/Ponies must be 4 years old or over on the day of the show

• The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without stating a reason and eliminate any competitor who in their opinion places themselves or others in danger or fails to observe the rules

• Teams will be of three or four riders, best three scores to count

• Lead rein Competitors must remain on the lead rein at all times whilst in the ring including entering and leaving the ring and whilst in the warm up. Any breach will incur a 10point penalty

• Assisted Riders – One Adult is allowed to assist in the ring whilst the competitor jumps his/her round

• One competitor may have a maximum of 2 rides in the same team, each horse/pony may only compete once in the class

• All competitors must present to the collecting ring 20mins before their allocated time for a tack inspection

• No Spectators in the warmup area, no standing or watching in the warmup area. The Warmup area is solely for the purpose of warming up

• Jumps in the warmup arena may not exceed the height of the jumps in the main ring

Terms and Conditions

Liability:  Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

Health and Safety: Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
