Times- Times will be posted on www.ponyclubresults.co.uk by 8pm on Thursday 15th May 2025. Numbers- BE style number bibs to be worn with a number both front and back. You are responsible for printing and bringing your own numbers. These can be printed out from www.ponyclubresults.co.uk
Classes include 45cm, 60cm, 70cm, 80cm, and 90cm, with Pairs sections at 45cm, 60cm, 70cm and 80cm. Entrance and parking via ‘Bagmoor Lane’.
Course Walking The course will be open for walking on Saturday 17th May 2025 from 2pm – 5pm (please note that the park gate are strictly locked at 5.30pm). The Hunter Trial course is run in an old woodland and is maintained by the committee and members of the Scunthorpe & District Pony club. The competition will run under the Pony Club Eventing Rule 2025. There will be an optimum time set at the equivalent Pony Club Eventing speed per class height. No horse or pony may compete in more than two classes. In pairs classes, please note that competitors do not need to jump side by side, but a pair may not jump the next obstacle before their partner has jumped the previous one. Pairs can be of any combination (i.e. Pony Club members and non-members may form a pair). ‘L’ fence alternatives, where available, will incur 15 penalties. Individual entries: £18.50 Pairs entries: £30.00 per pair
Cross-country colours may be worn- and are encouraged 🙂 Accepted hat standards- All hats must be tagged to comply with the Pony Club Hat Rule 2025, with a pink hat tag. Hat tagging will be available at the Secretary’s/ information point. Hats must be a jockey skull cap and have no fixed peak. Hat cams are NOT permitted.
Spurs- PC members must show a yellow hat tag or proof of completion of either C+ test or the spurs test.
Spurs if used inappropriately or fitted in correctly will requested to be removed on horse welfare grounds.
Body Protectors- Body protectors are compulsory and must be worn. Body protectors worn must meet the BETA 2018 Level 3 standard and display the blue and black 2018 label. Air jackets are permitted, but must be worn over the top of a body protector which meets the above standards. Please note requirement for number bib and baton whips. Numbers- Numbers BE style number bibs must be worn. You are responsible for printing and bringing your own numbers. These can be printed out from www.ponyclubresults.co.uk.
Entry is deemed to be in acceptance of these conditions: This event will be run under the Pony Club Eventing Rules 2025. Please pay particular attention to hat tagging, the 2025 back protector rules and the baton whip & Spur requirements. Fall of horse or rider, three refusals at same obstacle or four refusals around the course will result in elimination Stopwatches are not allowed in any class Pairs classes – competitors do not need to jump side by side, but a pair may not jump the next obstacle before their partner has jumped the previous one. Pairs do not need to be from the same branch. Any competitor jumping an ‘L Fence’ will incur 15 penalties. Horses/Ponies should not be left unattended outside horseboxes at any time. Dogs are welcome but must be on leads at all times. Horses and ponies must have an up-to-date vaccinations for Equine Influenza. The organiser reserves the right to ask for a passport to be presented.

Entries are only accepted on this basis.
Health and Safety: Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
