In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel 50% of your entry fee will be refunded, minus any Booking fees.

ROSETTES: Individuals to 6th place all classes. All Class 1 and 2 entrants will receive a rosette.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. Legal Liability: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis
2. Health & Safety: Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards
3. The event will be run under Pony Club Dressage Rules 2024 and Area 6 Winter League Rules 2024/25 and it is the responsibility of the competitors to make sure that they understand and adhere to the rules.

4. The event venue stipulates all horses/ponies entering the event site must comply with 2024 Pony Club vaccination rules – passports must accompany all horses/ponies and spot checks may be undertaken – no horse or pony to
be vaccinated within 7 days of the event.
5. Please ensure that the riding hat is tagged in line with the pony club rules (pink tags).
6. Classes 1 and 2 ONLY may be ridden in normal riding tack in line with the General Sport rules.

8. The organisers’ reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any class / amalgamate sections where there are insufficient entries or split classes if oversubscribed and reserve the right to disqualify anyone for misuse of the whip or spurs, dangerous riding or any horse/pony in poor or lame condition, and to refuse any entry for any reason at their sole discretion..
9. The event will follow 2024 withdrawal and abandonment Rule 7 and 8 regarding refunds – If a member, branch or centre withdraws an individual prior to the closing date for the competition entries, a full refund will be made by horse-events, less an administration charge. Withdrawals after the closing date for competition entries will not be refunded.
10. In the event of a competition being abandoned, for whatever reason, a refund of 50% of the entry fee will be given.
11. All dressage classes will receive points for the 2024/25 Winter League according to the rules as follows:
- All competitors must compete in a minimum of three competitions within a discipline to be included in the final results table
- Riders may ride more than 1 horse/pony at any or the same level as, each horse/rider combination will be awarded points separately. It is imperative that you enter each event using the exact same name for your horse/pony at every competition you attend otherwise your points will go to each named horse/pony you ride.
- Maximum points will be awarded for each class irrespective of the number of entries i.e. if you win a class you get 10 points whether you are the only competitor or there are 40 for instance
- Points will be awarded as follows: 1st = 10 points; 2nd = 8; 3rd = 6; 4th = 4; 5th = 3 and 6th = 2. All unplaced completion competitors will receive 1 point.
- All dressage classes can be commanded unless a Spring Festival Qualifier
- Walk and trot test must have a separate section for Lead Rein. If a competitor enters both an assisted/unassisted class for the walk and trot test, league points will only be awarded for a single class at the highest level of competition undertaken – i.e. their result for unassisted rather than assisted will get the points.
- The result will be decided upon the total dressage score. The combination, horse and rider, with the highest percentage score being the winner. In the event of equality, the highest collective marks will be the deciding factor. In the event of equality of points within the league, the competitor with the highest overall percentage will be deemed the winner.
12. Any changes to the Dressage Rules 2025 will be incorporated for future Dressage competitions run by the Rufford Pony Club
13. Strictly NO mucking out onto the parking area.
14. NO prams/pushchairs, wheelchairs or mobility vehicles allowed in any warm up area.
DIARY NOTE – Rufford Pony Club Interbranch/Centre Individual and Team Dressage Competition will be held at Danethorpe on Saturday 26th April 2025
