Welcoming, fun Hunter Trial over glorious ‘old turf’ outside Blandford Forum.
Two courses including a great course for young children and those introducing their horses to Hunter Trials.

The Portman Fox will be awarded to the best Portman horse owned and ridden by an adult farmer or subscriber in the Portman Hunt. Refund before Withdrawal date in Full, After Withdrawal date refund minus an admin fee of £6
In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded per class minus an admin fee of £6 (Booking fees are non refundable)
After the closing date please contact the event Secretary to make any changes

All entries must be made online at www.horse-events.co.uk Entry fees are subject to a non-refundable booking fee of £1.45 per entry online. Please add a £3 per rider/horse/pony combination for medical cover.

Event Directions & additonal details
DIRECTIONS: From Blandford Forum: take the road to Winterborne Stickland, then head towards Turnworth . Approx. 1.8 miles outside the village (Hedge End) take a left-hand turn (Water Lane); continue up the hill and take the 2nd left – signed Milton Abbas. Ochill is on your left after approx. 0.5 mile.
From Dorchester: in Winterborne Whitechurch, at the Milton Arms, take the turn to Milton Abbas. Do not turn down to Milton Abbas; continue along this road; bear left towards Bulbarrow – the Hunter Trial will be signed on the right before you reach Bulbarrow Hill.
Terms and Conditions
CONDITIONS
1. All competitors must wear British Standard Approved hard hats.
2. Body protectors are advised; any body protector worn must conform to current British Standard.
3. No horse may compete more than once in each class unless HC.
4. Neither the organisers nor anyone acting on their behalf accept any liability for the loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses/ponies, riders, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.
5. Health & Safety – The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards. The application for entry to this competition constitutes acceptance of these conditions
6. In the event of cancellation of the Hunter Trials, monies will be refunded less £6.00 administration fee
7. Organisers reserve the right to cancel the event or alter timings and to divide or amalgamate classes according to entries
8. At the landowner’s request, dogs are not allowed on the course or in the lorry park.
9. No entry fees will be refunded without a doctor or vet certificate
10. The First Aid charge is a one-off charge per competitor. (Not per round!)
11. It is the responsibility of competitors to check that the event has not been cancelled.
12. The Judges’ decision is final.
