About this Event

Come and join us for Teams & Individual Arena Eventing Indoors – 6 SJ fences followed by 6 XC fences with a joker fence at the end!  Teams of four with three scores to count. Great practice opportunity for the Spring Festival Qualifier on November 17th.

Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Refund minus an admin fee of £5.00 up until Withdrawal date. After the Withdrawal date only refund if replaced from the wait list.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded in full minus any booking fees

Dress

Cross Country compliant XC kit and Saddlery must be worn (see Pony Club Eventing rules). Either Pony Club or British Eventing Saddlery and Dress rules apply. This includes a body protector and hat without a peak (both to be Pony Club/BE compliant). To print your number on A4 online please use Pony Club Results. Please remember to bring your own Number Bib

Rules

This will run under the Pony Club Arena Eventing rules.  For full details click this link: https://resources.pcuk.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Rulebook-Eventing-2024-Final_Web-v220524.pdf These general rules follow the current Pony Club Arena Eventing Rule except as modified below:

  • Riders will jump a course of show jumps immediately followed by cross country fences, and will finish with the last fence as a show jump, the Joker fence. The Joker fence will be approximately 10cm higher than the rest of the course, if you knock the Joker fence down this will incur 6 penalties.
  • The optimum time will be based on a speed of 275 mpm (70cm and below), 325 mpm (80cm), and 375 mpm 90cm and above).
  • Stop Watches are not permitted.
  • The individual winner will be the person with the lowest number of penalties. In the event of a tie the winner will be the one closest to, but under the optimum time.
  • A team must comprise of at least three members (i.e. one member may ride two horses) and the top three scores to count.If entering as an individual, you will be put into a mixed team. Only the lowest three scores of each team are counted bu tat least three members must complete the competition. These scores will be added together to give the team’s final score, the team with the least penalties being the winner.
  • There will be a drawn order with approximate start times given in advance on Pony Club Results.
  • The course will only be open for walking before the class starts. If time allows there may be a mid class break with additional course walk. See Class times for info.
  • The Judge’s decision is final. Objections must be made in writing within 10 minutes of the results being published with a deposit of £20, refunded if objection is upheld.
Entry Conditions
  • Entries only online at www.horse-events.co.uk
  • No entries can be made after the start. Some classes are open to Pony Club members from any branch or non-PC.
  • Riders cannot take part in more than two classes per day. Horses cannot take part more than once in each class or in more than two classes on the day.
  • No horse/pony under the age of 5.
  • In the event of cancellation, £5 of the entry fee will be retained to defray costs. No refund for whatever reason after the closing date.
  • After the relevant closing date no substitution may be made of horses or riders except in the case of illness, lameness or other unavoidable circumstances which must be certified in writing to the secretary. No substitutions once the class starts.
  • A booking fee will be applied to all entries by Horse Events.

Team information

Branches/Centres may enter a team of three or four members.The team members can compete at different levels or all at the same level or a mixture of the two. A team must comprise of at least three members (i.e. one member may ride two horses) and the top three scores to count. If entering as an individual, you will be put into a mixed team.

PUBLIC SAFETY AND EVENT LIABILITY

  • When not being ridden all horses/ponies must be kept to the horse box park or collecting rings. No exercising in the car/lorry park, or among spectators.
  • No lunging in the lorry park.
  • Horses/ponies tied to trailers or lorries must not be left unattended.
  • No dogs allowed
  • All horses and ponies must be fully vaccinated against equine flu, according to the https://pcuk.org/media/eibpycgm/the-pony-club-vaccination-rule-v22-1-2.pdf

Spot checks may be made.

  • Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
  • The Organisers reserve the right to refuse an entry, restrict entries and make alterations when necessary
  • No refunds will be given except on receipt of valid Veterinary or Doctors Certificate.
