Classes: from 30/40cm up to 90cm

This is a low key ‘fun’ competition where all competitors will have an opportunity practise the course before doing a ‘competitive’ round. All classes will be held on grass

Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

No Refunds after the withdrawal date for whatever reason. Before this date full refunds to be given.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded per class minus an admin fee of £2.00 (Booking fees are non refundable)

Entry information

Entries All entries to be made via Horse Events If you would like to edit your horse or rider details change class or cancel your entry before the closing date of the event, please login to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under the ‘EDIT ENTRY ’ Tab

If the show is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, entry fees will be refunded less £2 in order to defray costs. Refunds will be made online via Horse Events There will be a booking fee for each entry.

Rules

Rules and Conditions of Entry

  1. Your entry is deemed to include acceptance of these rules
  2. The competition will be run in accordance with the Pony Club Rules for Show Jumping 2024.
  3. The Judge’s decision is final.
  4. Protests and Objections – please see Pony Club Rules for Show Jumping 2024.
  5. All hats must have the current 2023 (pink) Pony Club tag.
  6. Turnout for ALL riders and horses should be as in the Pony Club Rules for Show Jumping 2024.
  7. Horses/ponies competing may only be ridden by their competitor at the venue.
  8. Spurs may be worn in accordance with the Pony Club Rules for Show Jumping 2024.
  9. If worn, Body Protectors must meet BETA 2018 Level 3 Standard (blue and black label) in accordance with Pony Club Rules for Show Jumping 2024.
  10. ‘Grass Reins’ may only be worn in Classes 1 & 2 and must be compliant with the ‘diagrams’ in the Pony Club Rules for Show Jumping 2024.
  11. Whips must comply with the ‘Rule for Whips’ in the Pony Club Rules for Show Jumping 2024.
  12. Riders may not use their whip before the start of the course and may be eliminated for doing so at the Judge’s discretion.
  13. No horse under 5 years of age is eligible to compete.
  14. Horse & Rider Combination may enter a maximum of two classes of adjacent heights.
  15. Horses & ponies must not be left unattended in the horsebox area’
  16. Please do not feed hay to your horse or pony outside of your trailer or horsebox and ensure that ALL droppings are picked up before you leave.
  17. Competitors must print their own numbers which may be used in a number bib or attached to the saddlecloth; numbers should be printed as large as possible.
  18. Passports will be spot checked for compliance. A horse with a non-compliant passport will NOT be allowed to compete and there will be no refund of entry. Please check the Area 9 Website for current rules.
Photographic Rights

PHOTOGRAPHS: by entering this competition you are agreeing to be photographed whilst competing; these photographs may be used for future publicity. If you do not wish to be photographed, please tell the judge before you start your round.

No unauthorised photographers allowed – please check with the secretary on the day.

Terms and Conditions

 

Rider and Public Safety

  1. When not competing all horses/ponies must be kept to the horse box park or collecting rings. They must not be exercised in the car/lorry park, or among spectators.
  2. Horses/ponies tied to trailers or lorries must not be left unattended.
  3. Numbers will be restricted in the ‘warm up’ arena.
  4. All dogs MUST be kept on a short lead at all times. The owners of any loose dogs will be fined £20 per dog per incident with proceeds donated to the Air Ambulance. Please clean up after your dog.

 

Health & Safety

Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.

 

Legal Liability

Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

Riders requiring ‘Reasonable Adjustment’ Dispensation:

Any requests for ‘reasonable adjustment’ must be submitted to the organiser at least 2 weeks before the show.
