Best pony suitable for a beginner. Pony should be appropriate for the age/size of the child. Open to children aged 8 years and under. Class may be split. Plaited or unplaited please state in notes
First ridden pony suitable to be ridden by the age of the rider. To be ridden off the lead rein. Competitors are expected to walk and trot in both directions.

The All-England Showground, Hickstead Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th September 2024 This show is a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour Championships held at The All-England Showground, Hickstead from Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th September 2024. The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Dressage from Intro to Elementary, Show Jumping from Lead Rein to 1.05m; Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans, plus many more, Eventer’s Challenge from 50cm through to 90cm. Qualification: Dressage & Show Jumping 1st – 3rd place; Showing & Eventers Challenge 1st – 4th place. Qualification does not pass down the line. Registration must be completed within 1 month of qualification. TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Please note that if you do not adhere to the rules below you may be asked to leave the site, even if you have not yet competed. • All competing horses must have had a flu vaccination which complies with current PC rules. Passports will be spot checked. • Please adhere to the parking instructions. • Please bring your own water supply for your horse. • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. • All classes may be limited at the discretion of the organisers. • Competitors who fall in a jumping class will be eliminated and must report to the paramedics unmounted. • Entry fees cannot be refunded. • By participating in Marsh Gibbon Pony Show all competitors hereby give permission to allow photographs of themselves to be used where appropriate by Bicester & Warden Hill Pony Club. Please inform the Secretary in advance of the show day if a competitor wishes to opt out of this clause. RULES • Show jumping classes will be run under ‘Pony Club Show Jumping Rule Book 2024’. Objections must be made to the secretary in writing within 15 minutes of the incident, along with a non-refundable fee of £20, should the complaint not be upheld. • All hats must comply with current Pony Club rules and PC Members hats must display a pink tag. • Age of competitors is at the date of the Show. • Correct dress and safety attire must be worn by all competitors. • No lunging or galloping on site. Cantering only allowed inside the Rings. • For lead rein classes, ponies must be lead from the noseband. • No horses under 4 years old to enter the Showground. • Whips must comply with PC rules
LEGAL LIABILITY
Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or
representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or
any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
HEALTH & SAFETY
The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the Organisers, Officials and Stewards.
The Organisers have a zero tolerance policy towards any competitor, or their associates being abusive in any way to any other competitor, or official.
HORSE WELFARE
Pony Club UK take the welfare of all competing horses very seriously. Abuse displayed towards any horse will not be permitted, including in the opinion of the organisers, competitors overuse of whips or spurs, or if horses appear sick, lame or exhausted. Anyone in breach of these rules will be asked to leave the Showground immediately, forfeiting any entry fees.
