Refund minus an admin fee of £5.00 up until Withdrawal date. After the Withdrawal date only refund if replaced from the wait list.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded in full minus any booking fees

Entry information

Enter online at www.horse-events.co.uk. All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per class basis. Start times will be posted on facebook by 5pm on Friday 4th October. Entries close at 5pm on Thursday 3rd October. Course may be walked from 4pm on Saturday 5th October.

IN THE EVENT OF BAD WEATHER, THE ORGANISERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ABANDON/CANCEL THE EVENT. A DECISION WLL BE MADE BY 9PM ON 14TH SEPTEMBER 2024. IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION £5 PER ENTRY MAY BE RETAINED TO COVER EXPENSES. WITHDRAWALS AFTER THE CLOSING DATE WILL FORFEIT THE ENTRY FEE.

ACCESS TO THE SITE WILL BE SIGNPOSTED AND IS VIA A ONE WAY ROAD SYSTEM FROM HOUSTON VILLAGE

ALONG KILALLAN ROAD AND THEN EXITING THE SITE BY TURNING RIGHT ALONG HOUSTON ROAD AND

THROUGH KILMACOLM. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU FOLLOW THIS ONE WAY SYSTEM. PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON THE SITE AT ANY TIME EITHER IN CARS/LORRIES OR ON THE COURSE. THIS ALSO INCLUDES THE COURSE WALK.

Rules

COMPETITION RULES

The event will be run generally under Pony Club Eventing Rules 2024 amended where appropriate to suit this form of competition. Pony Club Eventing rules can be downloaded from the Pony Club website http://www.pcuk/index.php/disciplines/eventing/eventingrules

Competitors must wear current approved safety headgear and body protector. From 1st January 2024, the Level 3 blue BETA 2018 standard will be required when riding at any pony club event. This means the purple BETA 2009 safety certification will no longer be permitted. Long hair must be secured in such a way to ensure riders numbers are visible at all times.

Pony Club members must have their hats tagged and comply with Tack and Dress Code in the Pony Club Eventing Rule Book 2024. Non-Pony Club competitors must ensure their tack and clothing is safe and appropriate for the competition, must have their own appropriate Public Liability Insurance cover and may be asked to provide proof of cover.

All competitors will be checked prior to competing to ensure tack and other equipment is safe and appropriate for the competition. It is the responsibility of the competitor to wear a medical armband if they have a medical condition. No earrings/jewellery may be worn while competing. Any competitor wearing a body cage must lodge a key with the Starter and must collect once course completed.

Competitors failing to complete the course must report back to the starter. Competitors who have abfall at any point on the course will not be allowed to continue and must walk back on foot and report to the paramedics. It will be at the paramedic’s discretion as to whether the competitor can take further part in the competition.

Electric devices enabling another person to communicate with the rider are not allowed whilst the rider is competing. No recording device is permitted i.e. head/bridle cameras etc. With the exception of Classes 1 and 4A, stop watches and other timing devices are allowed.

Rosettes

Rosettes 1st – 6th place. Classes will be split into horses/ponies if numbers are sufficient.

Neither Lanarkshire & Renfrewshire Branch of the Pony Club, Lanarkshire & Renfrewshire Hunt, The Pony Club, or any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.

The organiser of this event has taken responsible precautions to ensure the Health & Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all responsible precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the Organiser, Officers and Stewards
