Each entry will receive a supervised warm up with Jess Hooley, competitors will then be held ringside and compete at their drawn time. The course will consist of 12 fences, each competitor is required to commence their round by jumping over ‘start’ fence and conclude course by jumping over the designated ‘finish’ fence. The middle ten fences will be awarded different points in consideration of the size and technicality of the fence. Jockeys ride course of their own design from the second to the penultimate fence, the aim of which is to accumulate the most points in the quickest time. Each fence cannot be jumped more than three times total in either direction. All fences can be jumped in both directions. Each refusal is 4 faults, each knocked pole is 4 faults. If a pole is knocked down, that fence is then obsolete for the remainder of their round and the points associated with that fence are not accumulated . Three refusals is elimination. Competitors accumulate points across the three qualifying shows with the top ten highest total scores for each section will qualify for championship show.
Please note riders entered for class one CANNOT enter for class three.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded in full minus any booking fees

Entry Conditions

For pupils aged 18 and under.

Classes 1, 2, 4 & 6 will be run under BS ruling as a two phase competition. Prizes to third place rossettes to tenth place. 

Classes 3, 5 & 7 will be run inder the following rules. The course will consist of 12 fences, each competitor is required to commence their round by jumping over 'start' fence in the indicated direction and conclude course by jumping over the designated 'finish' fence in the indicated direction. the middle ten fences will be awarded different points in consideration of the size and technicality of the fence. Jockeys ride course of their own design from the second to the penultimate fence, the aim of which is to accumulate the most points in the quickest time. Each fence cannot be jumped more than twice in one direction. All fences can be jumped in both directions. Each refusal is 4 faults, each knocked top pole is 4 faults. Three refusals is elimination as is a fall. Timing commences as all four feet land after the first fence and concludes as all four feet land over the last fence. Rosettes to tenth place, goodie bags to third place and sashes for the winner in each accumulator class.

HEALTH. Please do not attend this event if you or any one of your immediate family are experiencing symptoms of covid. Please also do not attend with any horses experiencing any symptoms of respiratory illness and or contagious disease and or is lame or unfit to participate or travel.

LEGAL LIABILITY: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or Kitebrook School nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

The Organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry and to alter the programme as weather or any other condition requires.

This event is open to All. The Organisers for this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For measures to be effective, everyone MUST take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all Officials and Stewards.

Although every care will be taken, neither the organisers nor any person acting on their behalf or the Land- owners can accept any liability for the loss, damaged, accident or injury to persons, horses or property.

The event is covered by KBIS insurance, HOWEVER all participants must be covered by their own third party insurance, this is a private event and as such not covered by PC insurance.

For clarification, this event will be run under PC SJ Rules 2022, although the Judge’s decision is final.

Participants should wear school colours and or individual colours if competing as an individual. HARD HATS must be worn at all times, with chinstrap fastened, when mounted and must conform to PAS015 : 2011 with BSI Kitemark, VG1 with BSI Kitemark, Snell E2016 or AS/NZS 3838, 2006 standard.

Hair nets must be worn for any shoulder length or longer hair.All competitors’ hats must comply with PC hat rules 2022.

Back protectors are recommended for show jumping.

Anyone assisting (i.e. leading/running alongside a competitor) must wear appropriate clothing and footwear

No jewellery (including earrings) to be worn except for medical jewellery

Please take all litter home with you.

Please clear all droppings/hay away from the Unicorn Equestrian Centre, no hay nets outside of trailers and or boxes.

No horse/pony is to compete more than once in any one class without prior agreement with the organiser

All competitors will agree to abide by the rules of the competition.

Entries will close before the closing date if classes are full.

No Dogs on site. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Horses carry risk of unpredictable behaviour and as such any accompanied children may be at risk of harm.

Prize giving will take place at the end of each class.

No entry fees will be refunded for withdrawals after the closing date . All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per class basis
