Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Withdrawals

Before the closing date please login to your Horse Events Account and cancel your entry. After the closing date if allowed please make any additional changes via your horse events account. If you unable to please contact Horse Events direct via our Contact Page

Refunds

Withdrawal: refunds will be given prior to the closing date. All refunds will be subject to an administrative fee of £5. Withdrawals after the closing date will not be refunded.

Event Cancelled by Organiser

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel 50% of your entry fee will be refunded, minus any Booking fees.

Changes after closing date

After the closing date if allowed please make any additional changes via your horse events account. If you unable to please contact Horse Events Direct info@horse-events.co.uk. There may be a fee associated with making changes to your entry.

Entry Fee: £35 per combination per class (to include first aid contribution) plus a non-refundable booking fee by Horse-Events.

Class Height Notes

1 – PC90 Area Qualifier for Team and Individuals. 1st round max height of 90cms. Second round max height 95cms. 2 – PC100 Area Qualifier for Teams and Individuals. 1st round max height of 1.00m. Second round max height of 1.05m Combination of Horse and Rider NOT eligible: If they have previously achieved a double clear in any competition with a starting height of 1.20m or above in the previous or current calendar year. Or: Previously ever finished 1st to 3rd as an individual at the Pony Club Championships at PC100 level or above on two occasions.

3 – PC110 Area Qualifier for Teams and Individuals. First round max height of 1.10m. Second round max height 1.15. Open to all members

Entry information

Pre-entries only: Enter online at www.horse-events.co.uk. Please enter as individuals stating the name of your Branch/Centre. Your DC/Team trainer/Centre manager will arrange you into teams after entries close.

Closing date for entries Friday, 6th June. Teams to be confirmed by DC’s : 6 pm on Sunday, 8th June to info@horse-events.co.uk

All team members will also be judged as individuals.

Competition Format

All competitors will jump 2 separate rounds, the first on grass and the second on a surface in the International Arena.

There will be a jump off in the event of equality for first place for the PC110 class.

The second round for the PC100 and PC90 will be Single Phase, i.e. 6 or 7 jumps followed immediately by several more jumps against the clock.

Open to teams and Individuals. Teams must consist of three or four members. Team members will also compete as individuals.

Combination teams will be formed by the organisers of any Individuals not in a team.

N.B. Combinations of horse and rider can compete at TWO adjacent levels at the Area Competition and at the Championships. i.e. combinations can compete at PC80 and PC90, PC90 and PC100 or PC100 and PC110.

These classes will be qualifiers for the JCB Pony Club Championships 2025 to be held a

Prizes & Prize Giving

Prizegiving: Will be unmounted but correctly dressed

Rosettes: Individuals to 6th place. Team rosettes depending on entries and will be notified on the day.

There will be a rosette for all those who achieve a Double Clear round!

Equipment

Please present to have your tack checked at the grass arena 30 mins before your first jumping round.

Vaccination Policy

PASSPORTS: Horses/ponies will not be allowed to compete without their passport with valid flu vaccinations. Please contact your DC or Team manager who needs to sign off that your horse/pony is compliant with the Pony Club Vaccination Rule 2025. THERE WILL BE SPOT CHECKS ON THE DAY.

A horse with a non-compliant passport will NOT be allowed to compete and there will be no refund of entry fee.

Times & Number template

Times will be published on Thursday, 12th June at 6:00 pm on Pony Club results.

NUMBERS: Rider numbers must be printed out by each competitor from Pony Club Results. If wearing a number bib please wear front and back. If the number is put on the saddle cloth print an A5 size and wear on both sides Please do not use bridle numbers. Numbers must be visible at all times when mounted.

Additional Details

DCs/Team Managers/Centre Proprietors MUST read the following:

  • · All DCs/Team managers/Centre proprietors MUST sign off that any competitor representing their Branch has a valid vaccination record as per The Pony Club Vaccination Rule 2025. Failure to do so could result in elimination from the competition, and no place at the Championships.
  • · Competitors must be turned out correctly with hair tied back securely and any body piercings ideally removed. If they must be worn those visible must be studded and covered with tape or plaster so they are secure.
  • · Hats must be tagged with a PINK hat tag in order to compete.
  • · Spurs may only be worn by riders who have either pass the C+ test or have passed the Spurs Test. They must also wear a YELLOW hat tag
  • · The Organisers ask each Branch to please nominate an adult or older young person (minimum age 12 years) to help on the day with Stewarding, Arena party duties etc.

Please do not use the entrance in Bishop Burton Village, use the new entrance which is on the main road (A1079) approx a mile to the west of the village

Terms and Conditions
  • · The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, alter the order of the classes, cancel classes and/or limit entries.
  • · Withdrawal: refunds will be given prior to the closing date. All refunds will be subject to an administrative fee of £5. Withdrawals after the closing date will not be refunded.
  • · If you would like to edit your horse or rider details before the closing date of the event please login to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under the ‘MY BOOKING’ Tab. If you would like to change the class please email info@horse-events.co.uk and if there is space available they will do this for you. For ALL changes of horse and rider substitutions AFTER the closing date there is a £5 charge.
  • · In the event of the competition being abandoned for whatever reason, a refund of 50% of the entry fee will be made via horse-events. All refunds will be subject to an administration fee.
  • · Competitors may be asked to jump up to 15 minutes before their estimated time. Please be ready.
  • · Stallions are allowed with prior permission from the Organiser. Any stallion ridden by a Pony Club member must have written permission from their DC/Centre Proprietor which must be sent to Nicky Morrison Area3@pcuk.org prior to the show day. Stallions must wear stallion discs and ribbons.
  • · Turnout for ALL Pony Club members and horses should be as in the Pony Club Show Jumping Rule book 2025. See Rule 16.
  • · No horses/ponies may be left tied to the outside of trailers/lorries without supervision. Please clear any muck/rubbish and do not leave it on the lorry park or field.
  • · Please park cars where directed – not next to lorries.

Reasonable adjustments are any actions that help to reduce the effect of a disability or difficulty. Any requests for Reasonable adjustment must be made by the closing date of entries. Photographic Rights – competitors and their parents/guardians have given permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons or horses/ponies taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of The Pony Club and/or Official Sponsors of The Pony Club.

Legal Liability- Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the Organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor The Pony Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.

Health, Safety and Welfare – The organisers of this Event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all the Officials and Stewards.

A valid passport and vaccination certificate must accompany the horse/pony to this event and must be available for inspection if required by event officials. Vaccinations must be in accordance with the Pony Club Dressage Rule Book

Entries are only accepted on this basis.
