First, second and third placed horses/ponies not already qualified in eligible classes will qualify for the Champion of Britain Title classes to be held at Onley Equestrian Centre, Rugby, Warwickshire on 24th and 25th August 2024.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel no entries will be refunded.

LIGHT HORSE AND PONY SHOW RULES
1. The judge’s decision is final.
2. Classes will be divided at the discretion of the judge.
3. INSURANCE: Gorefield Show Committee cannot accept liability howsoever caused by an individual, animal, or vehicle. Gorefield Show Committee strongly advises all participants/riders to have up to date third-party insurance providing full coverage in all events, equestrain or otherwise, and for all vehicles.
4. Any objection must be made within 15 minutes of the end of the class, in writing and accompanied by £20,00, returnable if the objection is upheld.
5. When mounted on the show ground competitors must wear correct riding clothes, hard hats to the approved B.S.I Standard of 2024.
6. No riders under 3 years of age.
7. No rider may carry, use, or permit to be used, a whip exceeding 30″ in length.
8. Age as of 1st January 2024.
9. Classes will not be held up on the day.
10. The Committee would appreciate entries before the close of the previous class.
11. Horses and ponies are not allowed to be ridden other than at WALK except in the rings and working in area.
12. No lunging due to limited space and health and safety regulations.
13. No refunds will be given.
14. Small breed ridden stallions not exceeding 138cms riders must be 12 years and over. Large breed ridden stallions riders must be 14 years and over.
15. A deposit of £20.00 per competitor to be paid before collection of trophies.
16. Dogs MUST be kept on short leads at all times.
17. The committee reserves the right to make changes to scheduled classes without prior notice.
18. Short, dark, waterproof jackets only can be worn in the ring in wet conditions.
19. No trotting or cantering down the main thoroughfare as this is a danger to the public.
20. Stallions/colts must be led by competitors 14 years or over at all times.
21. Please don’t skip out lorries/trailers on the show ground.
22. All online entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per class basis.
23. If you would like to edit your horse or rider details before the closing date of the event, please login to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under the ‘MY BOOKING’ tab. If you would like to change the class, please email info@horse-events.co.uk and if there is space available, we will do this for you.
