About this Event

A fun friendly interbranch competition incorporating dressage and showjumping. Combined Training Competition Open to teams and individuals. Each competitor will ride a dressage test and jump one round of jumps which will be timed. Teams can consist of three or four members. Each team must consist of a rider from each section 2, 3, 4, & 5, with the exception of Section 1 which is not part of the Caroline Cup competition.

Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Withdrawal Date: 10/09/2024


If a Branch withdraws a team or individual prior to the closing date, a full refund of entry fees will be made, less an admin fee of £5.00 Withdrawals after the closing date will not be refunded except on production of a vet or medical certificate. An admin fee of £5.00 will apply.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel 50% of your entry fee will be refunded, minus any Booking fees.

• All entries via Horse Events https://www.horse-events.co.uk/ All entries are subject

to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per class basis

• Entries close on Tuesday 10th September .

• Entry Fee – £80 per team of four for Combined Training (£60 for three)

• Individual – £20

• No late entries.

Eligibilty

Eligibility

• Rider and horse/pony combination are NOT eligible if:-

• They have competed in the Area Open, Intermediate or Novice Show Jumping, Dressage or Eventing Competitions

• All horses/ponies must be fully vaccinated, and it is up to the team manager/DC to check all vaccination records before entering the venue.

• Horses & Ponies must be 4 years old or over.

 

Rules

Competition Rules

• Age to be taken as on 1st January 2024.

• All riding hats must be PC tagged. Please also check back protectors are up to the latest standard as well.

• The competition will be run generally under Pony Club Rules – please refer to current PC Dressage and Show Jumping Rule Books.

• The organisers reserve the right to alter classes according to entries.

• Horses/ponies may only compete once in the Combined Training Competition.

Competition Format

Combined Training Competition

Open to teams and individuals. Each competitor will ride a dressage test and jump one round of jumps which will be timed. Teams can consist of three or four members. S1 – 40cms Pony Club Level D Test 2012 X Poles

S2 – 50cms Pony Club Level C Test 2012 Max height 50cm

S3 – 60cms Pony Club Introductory Test 2019 Max height 60cm

S4 – 70cms Pony Club Grassroots Test 2018 Max height 70cm

S5 – 80cms Pony Club Grassroots Test 2018 Max height 80cm

• All tests can be found on the PCUK website: Dressage Tests (pcuk.org) or by using above links.

• Please make sure you are using the correct version and correct bit as per the test sheet.

• We ask that DCs enter members to their correct height and ability in the true spirit of this competition and those doing lower heights are genuine novices.

• Dress: Pony club sweatshirts, pony club ties, competition jodhpurs, gloves, helmets and correct riding boots. All hats must be tagged.

Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or any one for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other per sonal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
  2. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, every one must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
