How it works…
Each team will consist of 3 riders
All 3 riders come into the Indoor arena. Once the bell / whistle is sounded riders, the 2nd and 3rd riders congregate in the ‘square’. The first rider carries on using the arena. A second bell will ring at the 1st rider may start. The clock will start as the rider jumps the first fence.
When the rider has jumped all the numbered fences they must return to the ‘square’. When they are back in the square the 2nd rider may start, the same rules apply for the 3rd rider. The clock will stop when the 3rd rider jumps the last fence.
Knock downs will incur a 5 second penalty. Refusals do not incur any penalties but will add to time. If the fence is refused and the fence falls, a bell will be sounded and the clock will stop whilst its repaired. The bell will ring again the clock will start once a fence is repaired.
Riders must retire and return to the ‘square’ if they have 3 refusals at any one fence, or 4 refusals on course. However, another team member (any team member) may continue to jump the course from the fences the rider retires at, they must not start until the retuired rider is back in the square. That rider then completes their own round after (but must return to the square before starting again), or if they have already jumped returns to the ‘square’ once complete and the next rider goes.
The winning team will have the quickest time!
Please note riders who are travelling at such speeds that are deemed dangerous will be asked to retire and the team will be eliminated.
