Show-Jumping and Cross-Country courses will be very kind, straight-forward and designed to give younger PC members an encouraging first eventing experience. Cross-Country will take place in one field only.

Withdrawals before close of entries – If an individual is withdrawn prior to the Closing Date, a full refund of entry fees will be made less an administration charge (£10 per individual) and booking fee (£2 per individual).
Withdrawals after close of entries – No refund will be given
In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel 50% of your entry fee will be refunded, minus any Booking fees.

This event is a Qualifier for the Horse Events National Unaffiliated SEG & Young Horse Eventing Championships 2024 Incorporating:
* Amateur ONLY classes – Riders must meet eligibility criteria to ensure a true amateur class
* Open class for young horses – open to all levels of rider with horse 4, 5 or 6 years in their 1st or 2nd year of eventing.
* Schools Equestrian Games Eventing Championships – the Prestigious Schools Eventing series to find the Schools eventing champions.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. This Horse Trials will be run in accordance with Pony Club Eventing Rules 2024. All rules are available at https://pcuk.org/officials/rulebooks/
2. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any
3. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
4. Safety Rules – Failure to comply with safety rules will result in elimination.
5. Non Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Cottesmore Branch of the Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible
for non PC Members and their insurance will not cover them.
6. Photography- By entry to this competition, competitors agree to being photographed by the Official Photographer and give permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons or horses/ponies taking part in Pony Club activities to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of The Pony Club and/or official sponsors of The Pony Club. It should be understood that The Pony Club will select photographs/ footage for publication with care and respect for those shown.
7. Hats of all competitors must conform to Pony Club regulations – see Pony Club Eventing Rule Book 2024 and MUST be tagged with the official PINK Pony Club tag (tags will be available at the venue). Hats must be worn with the chinstrap fastened at all times when mounted.
8. Body Protector – All competitors must wear a body protector that meets BETA 2018 Level 3 – see Pony Club Eventing Rule Book 2024.
9. Saddlery/Equipment – Please see Pony Club Eventing Rule Book 2024.
10. The organisers reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any class and reserve the right to disqualify anyone for misuse of the whip or spurs, dangerous riding or any horse in poor or lame condition. and to refuse any entry for any reason and at their sole discretion.
11. The Judges decisions are final. Queries may only be raised via the Secretary. Protests/objections will be managed as per the Pony Club Eventing Rulebook 2024.
12. No horse will be allowed to compete in more than one class.
13. A valid passport and vaccination record must accompany the horse/pony to this event and must be available for inspection if required by event officials. Vaccinations must be in accordance with the Pony Club Eventing
Rulebook 2024. Spot checks will be carried out.
