Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Withdrawal Date: 22/03/2025


No Refunds after the withdrawal date for whatever reason. Before this date full refunds to be given.

Please inform the organiser of any withdrawals.   Full refund given (less processing fee) if before the entry closing date. Withdrawals after the closing date, refund will be at organiser’s discretion.

 

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel 50% of your entry fee will be refunded, minus any Booking fees.

Entry information

Entry Fee:

Class 1 – £12.00   Classes 2 and 3 – £17.00

Classes 4 – 11   £22.00 per competitor.

Closing date for Entries: 22nd March 2025.  Any late entries will incur an additional £5.

All entries via HORSE EVENTS at the following link. Please note that each batch of entries will incur a small processing fee.

Rosettes: 1st – 6th individual in classes 1 – 11

1st  – 6th teams in classes 1 – 11

Medal for Best Shoot, Swim and Run in each class

Area 9 Triathlon Series Final Event:

Challenge Tankards will be awarded to the series points winner in each class.  Rosettes to 3rd Place

Area 9 Triathlon Series:  This is the final event in the Area 9 Triathlon series.  A Tankard is awarded to the points winner and rosettes to 3rd place in all classes.

Competition Format

The competition will be run in accordance with the Pony Club Rules for Tetrathlon 2025 Objections

Any objections to be made, by the team manager only, as soon as possible after being aware of scores released on the pony club results webpage.

Shooting: CHPC and MPC will adhere to all rules so please ensure your competitors are familiar with them.

Guns must be kept in their cases until the Firing Point Steward gives the order to “unbox” them at the start of the detail and must be “boxed” again before the competitor leaves the firing point. No person under 18yrs may be responsible for or carry a gun.

Substantial shoes that do not reach the ankle bone, but which cover the whole foot e.g. trainers must be worn.

Safety Flag (strimmer cord) to be always inserted in all pistols except when the safety flag removal is authorised by the Firing Point Steward.

Protective or prescription glasses are recommended at all levels and are mandatory for shooting at 7 metres. Any type of sound producing, or communication system is prohibited. Sound reducing devices (ear defenders or ear plugs), visors, caps, eye patches, corrective lenses or filters may be worn.

Any breach of safety rules will result in disqualification.

 

Swimming:

 

Appropriate dive certificates must be uploaded as part of the competitor’s entry onto Horse Events.

Swimmers without a Dive Certificate will start in the water.

Preliminary Competitive Start Award/Swimming Teachers Association Competitive Starts & Turns Level 1 may dive from poolside.

Competitive Start Award /Swimming Teachers Association Competitive Starts & Turns Level 2 may dive from the starting blocks.

 

Swimming aids will be allowed for Class 2 and 3 only. One coach/parent only at the end of the pool.  All footwear to be removed on entering the poolside area.  Competitors and team managers can sit pool side but only on one side of the pool.  Seating will therefore be limited.  We kindly ask that parents use the viewing gallery and do not take up seats for use of the competitors. Please no videoing.

 

Running: A Competitor may be given instructions, encouragement or information whilst running but it is forbidden for anyone to run with or near him or act as a pacemaker.  A penalty of 30 seconds will be incurred for each breach of this rule.  Rule 30b pg47 PC Tet rule book 2025.

 

 

Team information

Classes 4 – 11 must be minimum 8 years on the day

Teams of 3 or 4, the best 3 scores to count

(The organiser will create teams, including mixed gender, where appropriate.)

Team manager access is applied to this event to view your branch entries online. Access can be applied for on the booking form for team managers.

Health and Safety

The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.  For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable steps to avoid and prevent accidents occurring.  Instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards are to be obeyed.

Neither the organisers nor any person acting on their behalf accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to competitors, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.
