Individual & Team competition Open to all, classes from 50cm-1m with a super encouraging mini assisted class to start the day. Qualifying classes for the South West Hartpury SJ Championships. Sunday 16th February at Hartpury using the whole International Indoor Arena.

New Pony? Never been to Hartpury? Moving up to 50cm? Come and Give it a go!!! Open to teams and individuals 16 & under or those older with a ‘Reasonable Adjustment’ Form. Assistance from an adult or Senior PC Member, jumps not to exceed 50cm. Inviting course, there will be NO back bars.

This class is strictly for VERY INEXPERIENCED COMBINATIONS ONLY – assistant may touch the reins to help with direction but NO LEADING-please respect these rules, we want to make this class super inviting for younger and inexperienced combinations. Why not get a mini team together?!

In the interest of fun and fairness we kindly ask that those jumping in this assisted class do not enter the 60cm class on the same pony, but you are more than welcome to jump in both 1A and 1B on the same pony.

Refund before Withdrawal date in Full (minus any booking fees). After Withdrawal date only if a vet/medical certificate is sent to Horse Events by the date of the event.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded in full minus any booking fees

Competition Format

All classes will run as Single Phase.

For classes with large entry numbers, there will be a second course walk.

THERE WILL BE AN UNMOUNTED PRIZE GIVING at the top gallery of the arena at the end of each class with brilliant prizes for you and your horses and ponies!

By entering this show, competitors accept all rules, regulations and the disclaimers laid out in the schedule and on the Pony Club Website. Classes will be run under 2023/24 Pony Club Show Jumping Rules – the relevant rule book is available on the main PC website (www.pcuk.org)

If you would like to edit your horse or rider details change class or cancel your entry before the closing date of the event please login to your Horse Events account and edit your booking under the ‘EDIT EVENT ’

All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee which will be stated online on a per class basis 

Individual & Team competition – If you want to be considered to be part of a team please select Team and Team name tbc or leave blank.

Classes where declared are open to teams of 3 or 4 members(best 3 scores count).Team members will also be judged as individuals. The whole team will ride one after the other. No competitor may ride more than one horse or pony in each team. No horse/pony may jump in more than three classes.

 

 

Times & Number template

Please print your number(s) pre arrival and wear either a number bib or bridle or saddle cloth number on each side and put one in the front of the lorry/car for the gate steward to see clearly.

Competitor numbers MUST always be visible whilst mounted.

Team information

Team manager access is available for viewing entries and assigning teams online if you have not used this before please request team manager access on the booking form otherwise please submit your team names/members to the Event Secretary at the email above no later than the closing date. Individual entrants will be put into teams wherever possible.

 

Additional Details

Please read the rules of entry on the schedule, especially information on VACCINATIONS, HATS, BODY PROTECTORS & the NEW 2025 SPURS RULE. PONY CLUB SHOWJUMPING RULES FOR 2025 WILL BE ADHERED TO. Additional Rules and Practices These Conditions are subject to change,

On arrival: Please print an additional number(s) pre arrival and put one in the front of the lorry/car for the gate steward to see clearly. Please park sensibly next to the next lorry, YOU DO NOT NEED TO DECLARE – JUST ENSURE YOU ARRIVE AT THE WARM-UP ARENA AT LEAST 15 MINS BEFORE

YOUR GIVEN TIME, failure to do so many result in you not be able to compete.

The number of Competitors in the warmup will be limited.Competitors may only enter the warm-up area on permission of the Steward and then will be sent to the holding arena inside and next to the International Arena in running order. – there will be a steward to do the jumps in the jump warm-up COMPETITORS MUST NOT GO ACROSS TO THE INTERNATIONAL ARENA WITHOUT PERMISSION OF THE WARM-UP STEWARD. One support person per competitor will be permitted to be in the collecting rings and warm-up areas with their respective competitor. The support person should move up into the Gallery to watch the competitor’s round.

Failure to follow these rules-you will be asked to leave the site and riders eliminated from the competition and no refund give

Equipment

Tack and equipment for Pony Club members and horses should be as in the Pony Club Rules for Show-jumping 2024/5. Rules available on the main Pony Club website.

HAT RULE 2024/5:- “Hats MUST be fitted with a pink Pony Club, British Eventing (BE) or British Riding Club (BRC) hat tag. Please have your hat checked and tagged by your DC before attending the competition. Hat checks and tagging can be carried out onsite with a donation to the CVFHPC, please see the secretary. The Pony Club reserves the right to randomly spot check any hat regardless of whether it is already tagged.

Tagging indicates that a hat meets the accepted standards. No check of the fit and condition of the hat is implied. It is considered to be the responsibility of the Member’s parent(s)/guardian(s) to ensure that their child’s hat complies with the required standards and is tagged before they go to any Pony Club event. They are also responsible for ensuring that the manufacturer’s guidelines with regard to fit and replacement are followed.

BODY PROTECTOR RULE 2024/5-The Pony Club follows the British Equestrian Standards for Body Protectors. If a Body protector is worn for any Pony Club activity it must meet the BETA 2018 Level 3 standard (blue and black label) – see left. From 1st January 2024 only body protectors that meet BETA 2018 Level 3 standard (blue and black label) are to be used.

SPURS RULE–From 1 January 2025, riders who wish to wear spurs must have successfully completed the C+ Riding Test or the updated Spurs Test. In order to easily identify that a Member is able to wear spurs a yellow hat tag MUST be worn.(Please see your PC DC for your tag).Classes where declare dare open to teams of 3 or 4 members(best 3 scores count).Team members will also be judged as individuals. The whole team will ride one after the other. No competitor may ride more than one horse or pony in each team.No horse/pony may jump in more than three classes.

  1. Due to Health and Safety regulations, all competitors will be judged under Pony Club rules and it is the competitors’ responsibility to familiarize themselves with these rules. All competitors will have a tack check before competing.
  2. Neither the CVFH PC, Hartpury University nor any personacting on their behalf can accept any responsibility for any loss, damage or accident or injury to horse, pony,rider or anyoneattending this event. The organisers have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For those measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and officials.
  3. First Aid Cover will be provided.
  4. All non pony club competitors are not covered by the Pony Club insuranceand must have their own thirdparty cover. The Cotswold Vale Farmers Hunt Branch of the Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-members and their insurance will not cover them
  5. No horses are to be left tied up and unattended outside lorries and trailers on the college premises.
  6. The organisers reservethe right to refuse entry, cancel a class withhold a prize, or disqualify a competitor for any reason they see fit.
  7. Objections must be lodged with the Secretary with a deposit of £25.00 within10 minutes of the close of the class. The deposit may be forfeited
  8. Horses and ponies must be 5yrs of age or over. PASSPORTS must be shown on the gate. Horses/ponies will not be allowed to compete without their passport with valid flu vaccinations with a booster within the last 12 months of the date of the competition. No horse/pony may have had a vaccination within 7 days of the competition A horse with a non-compliant passport will NOT be allowed to compete and there will be no refund of entry.

If the show is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control including due to Covid-19, entry fees will be refunded minus the booking fee. Withdrawals must be made before the closing date of the competition which is midnight on Sunday 9th February. If withdrawing after the closing date a valid vet/medical certificate must be produced  to qualify for a refund.ALL Withdrawals must be registered by email to: info@horse-events.co.uk. Refunds exclude the booking fee

The Judges’/Organisers’ decision is final and must be respected.
