Cheshire Hunt South Tetrathlon

Tetrathlon Teams: Team classes for Senior / Junior / Mini, Tadpole, Beanie – any combination within age groups.

Triathlon Teams: Any combination of members from a branch from the above classes.

Class Notes:

* The Organisers reserve the right to amalgamate the novice Tetrathlon classes back into the respective age group classes if there are insufficient entry numbers to make a separate novice class.

The Triathlon only event is for lower age groups up to and including Junior, plusthe parent class.

A member who is 8 years old is not classed as a Beanie and must enter the Tadpole class.

Members entered as Beanies in either event will be automatically entered to swim in the main pool and must be able to swim 1 length of a 25m pool unaided and you may request an outside lane (of the main pool) when entering the competition. If the Beanie entrant cannot swim AT LEAST 1 length unaided,parents MUST request to swim in the mini pool with the Pre-Beanies when entering.

Ride Phase. This year, being autumn, we will run a Challenging Arena Eventing course on a surface to guarantee we will compete. We will benefit from all of the fantastic facilities at Kelsall Hill whatever the weather. There will also be option to ride the entire lower course and accept 500 penalties.

The objective is to provide a challenge to those who seek it whilst providing enough options foreveryone to have an enjoyable, safe experience.

Ellesmere Port Sports Village is a fantastic venue for the triathlon, with ample parking; the poolis an 8 – lane competition pool with 300 seat viewing gallery – plenty of room for cheering the competitors along! The 10m mini pool (shallow), will be used for the Pre-Beanie classes. The run phase will be on an athletics track, giving all competitors the chance to experience running on one. Swim aids will be permitted for use in the in the mini pool to encourage participation, (No swim aids in the main pool).

Team competition – This is a friendly Branch event. Branch Teams can be made up of any combination of age or gender, but (for the Tetrathlon) within age groups to keep it fair for the older ones. Triathlon Teams can simply be any combination and any age within Branches.

Team Managers are to nominate teams once entries are in and the entry window is closed.

Alternatively, arrangements can be made to stable with a Tet (friendly) family local to the area.

The Tetrathlon presentation will be on Sunday at Kelsall Hil

To be run in accordance with 2024 Pony Club Tetrathlon Rules.

The decisions of the judges are final throughout. For insurance purposes, all competitors must be paid-up members of their Pony Club branch. Hat Requirements – Vaccinations – Body

Protectors – please check on the PCUK website for the latest requirements.

Objections: Any queries should be taken up with the phase steward at that point and no more than 30 minutes after the scores are put up or posted on the scoring link.

Objections must be made by the team manager only.

Shooting: Please make sure that you are very familiar with the latest Pony Club rules for shooting Section 35 SHOOTING RULES. This competition will be run in accordance with all new safety procedures.
