ANY PAIR AGAINST THE CLOCK – please enter this class as an individual rider, if you don’t have a paired rider we will pair you up on the day, if you have another rider, they can either book on here as an individual rider and let us know on the day who the pair is or enter on the day. Can be a mixed combination of junior and senior. Same combination of horse and rider to only ride once.

QUALIFIERS
Showing & Working Hunter: STARS, NCPA & WPCS

1.Under no circumstances must horses/ponies be left unattended unless securely boxed and must not be left tethered in the vicinity of the show ring or to the outside of vehicles.
2. Horses, ponies and riders age as of 1st January in the current year.
3. The Judge’s decision is final. Any confrontation with a judge is strictly forbidden.
4. Competitors and spectators must conduct themselves in an orderly manner. Any use of bad language or behaviour which may bring the club into disrepute will result in disciplinary action.
5. CHILDREN MUST BE KEPT UNDER ADULT CONTROL.
6. No unauthorised person(s) are allowed in the ring at any time.
7. Points trophies will be awarded in each class to the competitor gaining most points over the same season with the same horse/pony/rider/handler combination. Points will only be awarded for the April, May, June and July shows. (Double points will be awarded in July).The August show is an open show (no points to be awarded).
Competitors need to attend a minimum of TWO shows to be eligible for points awards.
8. All lead rein competitors must be led by an adult (16 years and over). The lead rein must be attached to the noseband NOT the bit.
9. All ridden horses & ponies competing must be 4 years old and over. All competitors must be of a suitable size and weight for the horse/pony they are riding.
10. All competitors must be correctly dressed whilst mounted, leading and in the ring. British Standard hard hats must be worn. Chin straps and jackets must be fastened correctly. Arms must be covered. Correct footwear must be worn. Body protectors may be worn.
11. All dogs must be on a lead and kept under control. PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER THEM.
12. NO RESPONSIBILITY IS ACCEPTED BY CAVERSWALL & DISTRICT RIDING CLUB FOR ANY ACCIDENT, INJURY OR LOSS OF PROPERTY REGARDLESS OF HOW THIS IS CAUSED.
13. CAVERSWALL & DISTRICT RIDING CLUB REQUIRE THAT ALL COMPETITORS MUST CARRY PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE WITH A MINIMUM OF THIRD-PARTY COVER.
14. Stallions must be handled by a person (14 Years and over for large breeds and 12 years and over for small breeds) and be correctly bitted. Riders of small breeds must be
12 years old and over. All stallions/colts must be correctly bitted at all times whilst on the showground. Riders of large breeds must be 14 years old and over.
15. Points will be deemed void should any monies (including trophies) be outstanding to the club.
16. Anyone attending the shows is asked to place litter in the bins provided or take it home. PLEASE…..poo-pick, there is equipment provided.
17. No spurs to be worn for riders age 16 or below and in novice/beginners classes.
18. The miss use of spurs is an offence and if used (seniors) you must take care that the manner in which they are used does not offend
19. Whips to be no longer than 75cm (30 inches)
20. No visible body piercings to be worn, if seen you will be asked to remove them.
21. Competitors need to attend a minimum of TWO shows to be eligible for points awards.

22. Abuse to any committee member will not be tolerated and bad language is unacceptable from anyone.
23. Complaints to be made in writing no later than 30 minutes after completion of the class with a deposit of £40. The complaint will be reviewed at the next committee meeting and if upheld the money will be refunded.
24. Points can only be accumulated from the date of membership.
25. Membership to close at the June Show.
