Entries & Times • PRE-ENTRY ONLY via www.horse-events.co.uk
• Entry fee per class – £14 for Fernie members and £16 for other Centres & Branches, plus £1.45 booking fee
• Entries close on Sunday and late entries close on Wednesday prior to competition
• Times from 7pm on Friday prior to competition on www.ponyclubresults.co.uk
• Results will be published on www.ponyclubresults.co.uk
• Changes before closing via Horse-Events, post-closing date contact the organiser
• Late entries will incur an additional late fee of £5 and will only be accepted where there is space
• All classes will be single phase
• Classes 1 & 2 will run at maximum height for the whole course
• Class 1 is part of the Fernie Club Winter League only
• Classes 3 – 9 height is the first section, jump off section will increase by 5cm.
• Horse distances will be used in all classes
• Rosettes 1st – 6 th
• Light refreshments will be available on the day – hot and cold drinks, crisps, chocolate and cake.
Fernie Club Winter League Rules Open to members of all areas • Combinations must attend 2 league events to qualify. • Please note you must enter each event using the same name for your horse/pony at every competition you attend, otherwise your points will go to each horse name you ride. • Riders may ride more than one horse at any or the same level as each horse/ rider combination will be awarded. • Fernie League points will be awarded as follows:
• 1st – 10
• 2nd – 8
• 3rd – 6
• 4th – 4
• 5th – 3
• 6th – 2
• Unplaced completion – 1
• Rosettes, prizes and sashes will be awarded for the Fernie league at the last competition in the series in March 2025.
• Classes 1a and 1b, 2a and 2b
– Points will be awarded separately for each section
• All dates are part of the Fernie Winter League
Please note you must enter each event using the same name for your horse/pony at every competition you attend, otherwise your points will go to each horse name you ride.
• Points will also be awarded to all Area 6 Pony Club members entering a PC test as per the points as per Fernie League BUT Points will be awarded solely to the finishing place within Area 6 entries. For example, should an Area 6 Member finish 2nd to a non-Area 6 member, the Area 6 member would receive the points for first place.
• Riders may ride more than one horse at any or the same level as each horse/rider combination will be awarded.
• Class 2a and 2b – Points will be awarded separately for each section.
1. Horses/ ponies must be at least 5 years old
2. The event will be run under current Pony Club Show Jumping and Vaccination rules
3. Riding hats need to required standard be tagged with current tag (pink), hat tagging will be available on the day for hats meeting the standard
4. Horses/ Ponies can compete in a maximum of 3 classes, combinations can only compete in either class 1a or 1b, and either class 2a or 2b.
5. Organisers reserve the right to disqualify anyone for misuse of the whip or spurs, dangerous riding or any horse/pony in poor or lame condition, and to refuse any entry for any reason at their sole discretion.
6. The organisers reserve the right to cancel or change any class or award.
7. Entries before the date will be given a full refund minus booking fee via Horse-Events. Withdrawals after the closing date will not be refunded
8. In the event of a competition being abandoned, for whatever reason, a refund of 50% of the entry fee will be given
9. Strictly NO mucking out onto the parking area, please do not tie horses/ ponies and/ or haynets to the outside of lorries and trailers. Please pick up droppings immediately from car park and arenas to stop them being trod in using skips provided
10. Prams/pushchairs must be supervised at all times with extra care being taken around the car parks
LEGAL LIABILITY Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
HEALTH SAFETY Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
INSURANCE Competitors who are not members of The Pony Club are not covered by The Pony Club Insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Burton Hunt Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for Non Members and their insurance will not cover you
