Brocklesby Hunt Pony Club Winter League Rules
Open to all, non members welcome
Combinations must attend 2 league events to qualify.
Please note you must enter each event using the same name for your horse/pony at every competition you attend, otherwise your points will go to each horse name you ride.
Riders may ride more than one horse at any or the same level as each horse/ rider combination will be awarded.
Brocklesby Hunt League points will be awarded as follows:
1st (over 2 starters) – 10
2nd (over 3 starters) – 8
3rd (over 5 starters) – 6
4th (over 8 starters) – 4
5th (over 10 starters) – 3
6th (over 12 starters) – 2
Unplaced completion – 1
Rosettes and prizes will be awarded for the Brocklesby Hunt league at the last competition in the series in March 2025.
Class 1a and 1b, Points will be awarded separately for each section.
All dates are part of the Brocklesby Hunt Winter League.
Area 6 Showjumping League
Only applies to PC Area 6 Members
Please note you must enter each event using the same name for your horse/pony at every competition you attend, otherwise your points will go to each horse name you ride.
Points will also be awarded to all Area 6 Pony Club members entering a PC class as per the points as per Brocklesby Hunt League BUT Points will be awarded solely to the finishing place within Area 6 entries. For example, should an Area 6 Member finish 2nd to a non-Area 6 member, the Area 6 member would receive the points for first place.

Class 1a and 1b – Points will be awarded separately for each section.
Please ensure that riding hats meet the current Pony Club standard, and are properly tagged with the Pink hat tag.
Strictly NO mucking out onto the car park, please use poo pickers provided for horse walks/warm up areas. NO haynets to be tied to the outside of your trailer/lorry.
Horses and ponies must be 4 years old or above.
The organisers reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any class.
The welfare of the horse/pony is the responsibility of the owner/rider, whether mounted or unmounted, and should be fit for the competition.
NO prams/pushchairs, wheelchairs or mobility vehicles allowed in any warm up area or horse walks.
No refunds will be made after the closing date.
The event venue stipulates all horses/ponies entering the event site must comply with 2024 Pony Club vaccination rules – passports must accompany all horses/ponies and spot checks will be undertaken: 1. 1st Primary injection followed within 21 to 92 days by 2nd Primary injection 2. 1st Booster injection which follows within 7 calendar months of the 2nd Primary Injection 3. Subsequent Boosters, which follow no less than 1 year after the previous booster As a minimum requirement horses/ponies must have had the primary vaccinations (1st & 2nd injections) and in addition following any vaccinations there must be clear 7 days before attending the event.
Legal Liability: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
Health & Safety: Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
The event will be run under Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2024, and it is the responsibility of the competitors to make sure that they understand and adhere to the rules.
