This show is a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour Championships held at The All-England Showground, Hickstead from Thursday 11th – Sunday 14th September 2025. The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Dressage from Intro to Elementary, Show Jumping from Lead Rein to 1.05m; Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans, plus many more, Eventer’s Challenge from 50cm through to 90cm.
Qualification: Dressage & Show Jumping 1st – 3rd place; Showing & Eventers Challenge 1st – 4th place. Qualification does not pass down the line. visit www.sunshinetour.co.uk for more information, to register and submit evidence of results.
Registration must be completed within 1 month of qualification (sooner for late July shows). Restrictions apply to horse and competitor’s previous winnings and amateur status, please check the website www.sunshinetour.co.uk for Terms & Conditions.
Classes marked with a are Sunshine Tour qualifiers. All classes (except class 1) will be run over the same course. Fence 1-8 will be show jumps, you then continue over fences 9-16 XC jumps. Fence 17 will be a joker SJ Fence (knock down will be 8 penalties). Knocking down/refusal for SJ will incur 4 penalties, refusal for XC is 20 penalties. 3 refusals SJ will lead to elimination, 3 refusals during XC at the same fence will lead to elimination. There will be an optimum time for each class. The winner will be the combination(s) closest to the optimum time. In pairs classes the timing starts when the first rider crosses the start and stops when the second rider crosses the finish.

Competitors are asked to print their own numbers and use their own bibs.
Conditions of Entry:
1. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers/volunteers of the event, the organisers, volunteers or landlord accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders or possessions whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
2. The organisers of this event have taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. To ensure these measures are successful, everyone must adhere to instruction given at all times.
3. Competitors must have their own 3rd party insurance to compete.
4. Hats must conform to safety standard PAS 015 98/2011.
5. Body Protectors must be worn and adhere to Beta 2018 Level 3 standard (Blue label) or newer.
6. Photography. By entry to this completion, you agree to being photographed by the official photographer.
7. The judges decision is final.
8. No recording devices are permitted (on horse/rider)
9. Dogs welcome on a lead, please clean up after them as the field is grazed by livestock.
10. It is deemed a condition of entry that all competitors have inspected the ground/surface prior to entering and are happy to proceed.
Riders are expected to ensure they are ready to ride at their allocated times or risk being unable to take part.
