Designed as a low-key introduction to a one day event for novice riders. Can be on the lead rein or assisted. Jumps will be small poles and very small xc jumps with a max height of 30cm.

For competitors aged 12 and under. Combinations not eligible to compete in Class 1.
To qualify for the Championships, the pony or horse/rider combination must have successfully achieved 12 or less show jumping faults and not more than one stop cross country at our ODE.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded in full minus any booking fees

Terms and Conditions

Rules will broadly follow those as set down in The Pony Club 2023 Eventing Rules but will be adapted as appropriate to the ages of competitors. The decision of the judges and stewards in all cases is final.

 

  1. Open to Pony Club and non Pony Club members.
  2. Competitors to print own number and bring number bib. Numbers available on www.ponyclubresults.co.uk
  3. All classes will be drawn order. Running orders will be available 5th April on www.ponyclubresults.co.uk
  4. All hats must comply with current Pony Club rules and must have the current pink tag before competing. Hats should be tagged by the member’s own branch before the event. We are happy to tag non-PC member’s hats at the event but please check that your hat complies with the current standards before attending the event (link here).
  5. Riding is a risky sport. It is compulsory that all riders wear body protectors to the latest Pony Club standard for the cross country element and are strongly recommended for the showjumping section. Air jackets are only permitted to be worn over a body protector.
  6. Horse/ponies left tied to the outside of trailers/lorries must not be left unattended.
  7. Full refunds will be given for withdrawals on or before 5th April. After the closing date refunds will only be made if replaced from the wait list. In the event of cancellation, full refunds will be given excluding any admin charges made by the booking agent.
  8. Riders or visitors are not entitled to be anywhere on the property other than the specific facilities being used for the event.
  9. Please note that tack checks will be carried out by the organisers and it remains the sole responsibility of the accompanying adult to ensure that tack adheres to Pony Club rules.
  10. Please adhere to all parking instructions on site and please remove all droppings left by ponies.
  11. Please note spurs are only allowed to be worn by members who have completed there spurs test and are wearing their spurs hat tag. If no tag is worn to show the test has been passed then spurs will asked to be removed.
