About this Event

Open ODE classes from 70cm to 110cm, running alongside the Area 6 Pony Club Qualifier. Open Sections – the only chance to event in the stunning Buckminster Park this year by kind permission of the Tollemache family and The Buckminster Estate

This event is a Qualifier for the Horse Events National Unaffiliated SEG & Young Horse Eventing Championships 2024

Run over BE standard courses designed & maintained by Guy Herbert, all phases on old parkland, providing excellent going, will aerovate if needed.

BD Judges, BS Course Builder & Judge, BE Scoring team, Control and Start teams.

A donation will be made to the Air Ambulance

Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

Withdrawal Date: 08/07/2024


Refund minus an admin fee of £10.00 up until Withdrawal date. After the Withdrawal date only refund if replaced from the wait list.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel 50% of your entry fee will be refunded, minus any Booking fees.

Entry information
  • Entries Online at www.horse-events.co.uk , all entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee. For entry queries, please contact Horse-Events via info@horse-events.co.uk with the event name, rider and horse details. If entering more than 3 horses per rider, per day, please check with organiser. No horse may compete more than once.
  • The Organisers reserve the right to combine, separate or cancel sections if insufficient entries.
  • Entries close Mon 8th July unless full, usually oversubscribed, late entries if space +£10. Entry Fees

No VAT, separate start fee or first aid fee, booking fee is non-refundable Changes to Entries:  If you would like to edit your horse or rider details change class or cancel your booking before the closing date of the event, please log into your Horse Events account and edit or cancel your booking under the “EDIT ENTRY” tab. Times & Number template

Times: Will be posted on www.ponyclubresults.co.uk on Thursday 18th July by 8pm.

Please bring BE style number bibs with printed number for front and back at 100% scale, please print at home from the link on your name.

Course open for inspection Friday 19th July 2pm – 8:00pm, when gates will be locked, or can be walked with care on the day of competition.

Scores:

We have a team of BE scorers and will post scores online at www.ponyclubresults.co.uk , please raise any scoring queries politely with the secretary on the day. Dressage sheets will be available on the day from the secretary, released once the scoring of each dressage section has been completed.

 

Prizes & Prize Giving

Each Section: Prizes to 3rd place in kind and rosettes 1st – 8th, plus best dressage completion.

Prizes to be collected in person from secretary for open sections.

Rules

Entry is deemed to be acceptance of these conditions: This event will be run under Pony Club Eventing Rules 2024, which can be viewed or downloaded, complete with dressage tests from https://pcuk.org/officials/rulebooks/ . Saddlery and dress rules as per Pony Club Eventing Rule book 2024. All hats must be tagged to comply with the Pony Club Hat Rule 2024, with a Pink PC / BE / BRC hat tag. Hat tagging will be available at the information point. Body Protectors BETA Level 3 2018 must be worn for the cross country phase, and as a minimum shoulders must be covered when competing. Air jackets if worn for xc, must be over body protector. Stopwatches are not allowed in PC70, PC70+ or PC80 but are allowed in all other classes, any deliberate slowing to the finish will be penalised. Body worn cameras or receivers are not allowed while competing. Organisers reserve the right to alter classes. Horses should not be left unattended / tied up outside at any time & please poo pick around lorries. Competitors who are technically eliminated in the dressage or show jumping are only allowed to complete the competition with the permission of the Official Steward. There will be contact details for vets at the secretary and there will be a farrier on site, all services to be paid for by the competitor. Pony Club vaccination rules apply valid passport and vaccination record must accompany each horse/ pony and may be spot-checked by officials.

Dogs must be on short leads under the control of an adult at all times – this is a sporting and sheep grazing estate.

 

Qualifiers

This event is a Qualifier for the Horse Events National Unaffiliated SEG & Young Horse Eventing Championships 2024 at 80cm- 90cm- 100cm Incorporating:

* Amateur ONLY classes – Riders must meet eligibility criteria to ensure a true amateur class

* Open class for young horses – open to all levels of rider with horse 4, 5 or 6 years in their 1st or 2nd year of eventing.

* Schools Equestrian Games Eventing Championships – the Prestigious Schools Eventing series to find the Schools eventing champions.

Championships 21st -22nd September  – Dauntsey Park, Wiltshire. 80, 90 & 100cm

Insurance: Competitors who are not members of The Pony Club are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third-party cover. The Belvoir Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover you.
