Safety remains a priority – competitors must wear jodhpur / riding boots and stirrups should be of the correct size to suit the rider’s boots. They must have 7mm (¼”) clearance on either side of the boot. Body Protectors are optional, air jackets are not encouraged if used in restricted spaces with other horses and ponies in the immediate vicinity. Grass reins are not permitted but Daisy reins and balance reins may be used for courses of up to 50cm.
Prizes will be awarded to winner and rosettes to 6 th place. All competitors in
Classes 1 will all receive a rosette. Prizes for Class one: 1A Lead rein & 1B accompanied / unaccompanied entries will be split.

All horses and ponies receiving a new primary course of vaccinations from 1 January 2024 must be vaccinated according to this schedule:
• initial primary course of two vaccinations (V1 and V2) must be given: the second vaccination (V2) must be administered within 21-60 days of the first initial vaccination (V1
• Horses may attend activities 7 full days after receiving the second vaccination of the primary course (V2).
• A first booster vaccination (V3) must be administered within 120 – 180 days of the administration of the second vaccination of the primary course.
• Thereafter booster vaccinations must be administered at a maximum of 12 months intervals.
Horses and ponies must not attend activities within 7 days of receiving any vaccination. For clarity: no horse or pony may compete on the same day as a relevant injection is given or on any of the 6 days following such an injection.
Venue:
Parking will be either on hard standing or in a paddock. Please could you ensure that you clear up any droppings left by your horse / pony and please don’t tie hay nets up outside your trailer. Dogs must be on leads.
Refreshments including hot food will be available from Fresh & Tasty Food.
Liability: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
Health and Safety: Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.

Rules:
1. Hats. It is mandatory for all competitors to wear a protective helmet at all times when mounted with the chin straps fastened and adjusted so as to prevent movement of the hat in the event of a fall. The hat must be manufactured to one of the minimum standards listed in the Pony Club Hat Rule. Hat checks will be carried out. All hats must be tagged with a pink Pony Club, British Eventing (BE) or British Riding Club (BRC) hat tag.
2. No stallions unless by prior arrangement with the organiser.
3. The decision of the judge is final and any objection must be made to the Secretary with a deposit of £20, refundable if the objection is upheld.
4. The organisers reserve the right to disqualify anyone for misuse of whip or spurs, dangerous riding or any horse in poor or lame condition.
5. Horses/Ponies must not be left unattended at any time, or left tied to the outside of lorries or trailers.
6. Horses/ponies must be 5 years and over.
7. To be run under the Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2024.
8. A combination of horse and rider may enter up to 3 classes. No horse can compete more than once per class.
9. Courses will be available to walk before the start of each class. Class start times and numbers will be available on pony club results prior to the competition. Any competitor who misses their turn may be disqualified at the judges’ discretion.
10. No ponies that are registered as JA under BS rules may compete.
