This competition will be run in accordance with the Pony Club Eventing Rules 2024 and Northern Novice Eligibility Rules
ALL TEAM ENTRIES MUST BE MADE BY THE BRANCH DC. This is a team competition inaugurated by Mrs Jenny Bloom & Mr. Maurice Wright for Branches in Area 8 who do not take part in the Gosling Cup. It is aimed at the true novice riders and to encourage members to participate as a team.
Eligible ‘Northern’ Branches for the Bloom Cup: Easton Harriers, Littleport & District, North Norfolk, Soham & District, South Norfolk, Thetford Chase, Walpole & District, Waveney Harriers, West Norfolk. All Other Branches are invited to enter Class 1, with the Bloom Cup being awarded to the highest placed eligible Northern Branch.
Composition of Teams. Open to all pony club members riding horses or ponies.
1. Combination of horse/pony and rider who have competed in Pony Club Area PC110, PC100+, PC100 Eventing or have competed at BE100 may compete but will carry a penalty of 10 points.
2. Combinations who have qualified for the PC90 Eventing Championships 2024 may compete but will carry a penalty of 10 points.
3. Combinations who have been placed 1-5 in any BE90 may compete but will carry a penalty of 10 points
4. Horse/ponies that have competed at Pony Club Open/PC110 Area Eventing or have BE points in the current or previous year may compete but will carry a penalty of 10 points.
Teams of 3 or 4 with the highest placed 3 to count.
Each branch may enter multiple teams.
If a Branch is unable to field a team, they may enter 1 or 2 individuals under the above eligibility criteria.
Class 2: Open 90cm

Rules:The competition will be run and judged under the Pony Club Eventing Rules 2024 for PC80.
Particular attention is drawn to the fact that riders must leave the course after 3 refusals at the same fence and after a total of 4 refusals on the course and will not be permitted to continue.
Objections for Class 6 to be lodged in person before leaving the event to the event secretary with a fee of £20 which is non-refundable unless the objection is upheld.

Rules
RULES AND CONDITIONS (APPLICABLE TO ALL CLASSES)
1. To be run in accordance with Pony Club Eventing Rules 2024 and Northern Eventing Rules for applicable classes 1, 3, and 5.
2. Please ensure your members comply with 2024 eligibility, hat tagging and body protector rules and have a responsible adult present.
3. For Cross Country – body protectors must meet BETA 2018 level 3 standard (blue label), and officially tagged jockey skull caps with no fixed peak must be worn. Anyone wearing a woof wear or similar body cage should lodge a key with the secretary.
4. Riders must wear the same number for all three disciplines.
5. No ponies or horses to be left unsupervised whilst tied to a vehicle/trailer.
6. No horse / pony will be allowed to compete more than once.
7. A valid passport and vaccination record must accompany the horse/pony to this event and must be available for inspection if required by event officials. Vaccinations must be in accordance with The Pony Club biosecurity policy.
Times & Number template
Times and numbers will be published live on Pony Club Results by Thursday 8th August 2024.
All numbers will be printed by us with the sponsor of each class on the numbers. Please come and collect your number on arrival from the secretary. All team numbers will be given to the DC or team trainer only.

Qualifiers
This event is a Qualifier for the Horse Events National Unaffiliated SEG & Young Horse Eventing Championships 2024 Incorporating:
* Amateur ONLY classes – Riders must meet eligibility criteria to ensure a true amateur class
* Open class for young horses – open to all levels of rider with horse 4, 5 or 6 years in their 1st or 2nd year of eventing.
* Schools Equestrian Games Eventing Championships – the Prestigious Schools Eventing series to find the Schools eventing champions.
