About this Event

The Pony Club Area 6 Team and Individual Qualifers for the JCB National Championships 2024 and The Eastern Regional Championships 2024.

Hosted by the Belvoir Hunt Branch at Buckminster Park by kind permission of the Tollemache family and the Buckminster Estate.

A donation will be made to the Air Ambulance.

Run over BE standard courses designed & maintained by Guy Herbert, all phases on old parkland, providing excellent going, will aerovate if needed.

BD Judges, BS Course Builder & Judge, BE Scoring team, Control and Start teams.

Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

No Refunds after the withdrawal date for whatever reason. Before this date full refunds to be given.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel 50% of your entry fee will be refunded, minus any Booking fees.

Entry information

Entries via Horse-Events : Entries Close on 8th July 2024 Entry Fee for all classes £85, £80 for Belvoir PC Members Plus a £2 non- refundable booking fee All Area 6 entries must be authorised by the DC. They can either be made by the DC or Team Manager for the Branch / Centre or if authorised by your branch DC – you may enter directly. In either case, if a DC wishes to change a team or Individual entry in a class – their instructions will be followed. Horses / ponies may only compete once across the weekend. Eligibility rules as per the Pony Club Eventing Rulebook 2024, contact your DC for advice

The Organisers reserve the right to combine or separate sections depending on entries.

Changes to Entries:  If you would like to edit your horse or rider details change class or cancel your entry before the closing date of the event, please log into your Horse Events account and edit or cancel your booking under the “EDIT EVENT” tab. For ALL changes of horse and rider substitutions after the closing date, there is a £5 charge, please fill out the following form online at: https://www.horse-events.co.uk/rider-horse-substitutions-form/ Changes at organiser’s discretion only once times published.  

Times & Number template

Will be posted on www.ponyclubresults.co.uk on Thursday 18th July by 8pm.

Please bring BE style number bibs with printed number for front and back at 100% scale, please print at home from the link on your name.

Course open for inspection Friday 19th July 2pm – 8:00pm, when gates will be locked, or can be walked with care on the day of competition.

Teams and Running orders must be confirmed by the DC or their representative with the organiser by 15th July 2024

Branch/Centre has a valid vaccination record – please see Rules and Regulations. Failure to do so may result in elimination from the Area competition.

Dogs must be on short leads under the control of an adult at all times – this is a sporting and sheep grazing estate.

 

Scores:

We have a team of BE scorers and will post scores online at www.ponyclubresults.co.uk, please raise any scoring queries politely with the secretary on the day.

Dressage sheets will be available on the day from the secretary, released once the scoring of each dressage section has been completed.

Prizes & Prize Giving

Each Section: Prizes to 3rd place in kind and rosettes 1st – 8th. Team rosettes 1st – 6th.

Prizes for Area Sections will be a presentation – riders smart in riding jackets and hats please.

Qualifiers

This event is a Qualifier for the Horse Events National Unaffiliated SEG & Young Horse Eventing Championships 2024 at 80cm 90cm 100cm Incorporating:

* Amateur ONLY classes – Riders must meet eligibility criteria to ensure a true amateur class

* Open class for young horses – open to all levels of rider with horse 4, 5 or 6 years in their 1st or 2nd year of eventing.

* Schools Equestrian Games Eventing Championships – the Prestigious Schools Eventing series to find the Schools eventing champions.

Championships 21st -22nd September  – Dauntsey Park, Wiltshire. 80, 90 & 100cm

Rules

Entry is deemed to be acceptance of these conditions: This event will be run under Pony Club Eventing Rules 2024, which can be viewed or downloaded, complete with dressage tests from https://pcuk.org/officials/rulebooks/ . Saddlery and dress rules as per Pony Club Eventing Rule book 2024. All hats must be tagged to comply with the Pony Club Hat Rule 2024, with a Pink PC / BE / BRC hat tag. Hat tagging will be available at the information point. Body Protectors BETA Level 3 2018 must be worn for the cross country phase, and as a minimum shoulders must be covered when competing. Air jackets if worn for xc, must be over body protector. Stopwatches are not allowed in PC70, PC70+ or PC80 but are in all other classes, any deliberate slowing to the finish will be penalised. Body worn cameras or receivers are not allowed while competing. Organisers reserve the right to alter classes. Horses should not be left unattended / tied up outside at any time & please poo pick around lorries. Competitors who are technically eliminated in the dressage or show jumping are only allowed to complete the competition with the permission of the Official Steward. There will be contact details for vets at the secretary and there will be a farrier on site, all services to be paid for by the competitor. Pony Club vaccination rules apply valid passport and vaccination record must accompany each horse/ pony and may be spot-checked by officials.

For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all the Officials and Stewards.
