Additional Information.
For full details of rules please refer to the Pony Club Pony Racing Rulebook 2025.
All riders must walk the Course with the nominated Officials and must attend the briefing at the start of the day. Details of timings will be provided to all jockeys once entries close. Non attendance will result in not being allowed to ride.
No children under 12 years of age allowed in the paddock, except when riding in the race. No one under the age of 14 to lead a pony.

The day will be run under Pony Club Pony Racing Rules 2025
Entry fee. £29.50 per race plus Horse-Events booking fee.
Paramedics, Vet and Photographer all on site.

All ponies attending MUST be compliant with the current Pony Club minimum vaccination requirements and must be accompanied by their passport.
What vaccinations do I need to pony race at Haydock Park on 11th May 2025?
The Area 4 Pony Club Pony Race Day will be held more than 8 days before the next British Horseracing Authority fixture at Haydock Park Racecourse. This means that ponies on annual vaccinations (so long as they have been properly adhered to and the right time intervals were followed between all vaccinations in the course) may race so long as they have received a booster for Equine Influenza between 11th November 2024 and 3rd May 2025. However please be aware that entries will close by 1st May 2025, and ponies whose vaccinations are not compliant at this stage will automatically be withdrawn and no refund given.
The above rule re vaccinations may NOT apply to all Pony Club Race Days and we strongly advise you to follow the BHA Requirements which will allow you to race at every race day this year without incident.
Jockey Colours Template – please print & colour in the template in the schedule, then send to Ruth Hurley. If you will be wearing cross country colours with body protector over, please include the body protector colour as the body colour in the diagram. If wearing silks over the body protector please just show the colour of the silks.

Conditions of Entry and General Information
The Event will run under Pony Club Racing Rules 2025. These are available to download from THE PONY CLUB WEBSITE or buy from Amazon UK.
The organisers reserve the right to cancel the event or any race, to alter the advertised times, to divide any race and to refuse entry with or without stating a reason. The decision of the Chief Steward will be final and binding.
Health & Safety
Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
Legal Liability
Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
