In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded in full minus any booking fees

Eligibilty
Must be current member of The Pony Club at closing date and competition date.
All members must attend their own Area Qualifier, no exceptions.
Combination of horse and rider can only compete in two adjacent classes.
Nor horse may be ridden more than once in the same class or in more than two classes on the day.
Riders may ride a maximum of three horses at the Area Qualifier and two horses at the Championships in any one class (should all three qualify, the rider must nominate which two horses they will take to the Championships).

Please ensure all entries comply with 2024/2025 eligibility and tack/dress rules..
Please ensure all riders wearing spurs have a yellow hat tag.
Please print your own number. Bridle numbers are allowed.
Queries may only be raised via the Secretary by the DC or their appointee.
Reasonable Adjustment may be considered if required.
Photographic Rights
Photographic Rights – competitors and their parents/guardians have given permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons or horses/ponies taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of the Pony Club and/or Official Sponsors of the Pony Club.
Vaccination Policy
A valid passport and vaccination record must accompany the horse/pony to this event and must be available for inspection if required by event officials. Vaccinations must be in accordance with the Pony Club Dressage Rule Book 2024/Pony Club Vaccination Rule 2024.
Entry information
All entries should be made online using www.horse-events.co.uk Members will need their Pony Club membership number and their Branch/Centre name to enter a qualifying class. Horse and rider changes or cancellation of your entry before the closing date can be made online by logging into your Horse Events account and editing your entry under the ‘EDIT ENTRY’ tab. If you need to cancel an entry or change a class before the closing date, or have any difficulties entering online, please email: info@horse-events.co.uk before 7pm. All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee as stated online on a per class basis. Commanders are permitted for the non-qualifying class and the Grassroots PC80 class only.
Team information
Branches/Centres can have a team of three in each class of the same level of the Area Qualifier competition – all three scores to count. If Branch/Centre entries have been done as individual entries, the DC or Event Organiser can make up teams in each Branch/Centre immediately after the closing date.

Prizes & Prize Giving
Individual rosettes to 6th in each class. Individual prizes to 3rd in each class.
Prize giving will be dismounted as soon as practicable after each class.
The top two individuals from each class will qualify (other than Class 1 which is not a qualifying class). If any qualifying individuals are in a qualifying team, their place will be passed down.
The Top scoring Branch/Centre team in each class (other than Class 1) will also qualify – the winning team will be the team with the least points. Team points are awarded depending on placing relative only to other team competitors in the class.
On site Facilities
Large hard standing car park adjacent to the competition area. Horses/ponies tied up to the trailer/lorry must not be left unattended. Please ensure the area around your trailer/lorry is left clean and tidy. All droppings must be removed.
Outside warm up arena. Competition in inside arena.
The Hive cafe will be open from 10am to 3pm.
Dogs must be left in your vehicle at all times.
Legal Liability
Owners and riders entering their horses/ponies do so at their own risk. The York & Ainsty South Pony Club and Askham Bryan College will accept no liability of any kind in respect of any loss, damage or accident to horse, rider, spectator or any other persons or property whatsoever.

Liability: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
Health and Safety: Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
