Competition Format
PC Eventing classes
MIXED LEVEL TEAM COMPETITION
Mixed Level Team Competition is designed to enable branches to include riders of differing ages and experience in one team.
Teams of 3 or 4.
Following closure of entries Branches DC will need to agree Teams and contact the events secretary before the 23rd of May to enter the team competition. In doing so, the DC will have certified the eligibility of the horse and rider. All team riders will automatically count for an individual placing in their class providing they are eligible.
Team Scoring – Points shall be awarded to each team competitor depending on their placing (1st = 1 point, 2nd =2 points etc.) relative only to other team competitors in that class and not on their overall placing in that class. A combination can only be in one team, and a rider can only be in 1 team twice on different ponies. The points for the three best-placed team members shall be added together to give the team score. The winning team will be the team with the least points.
Please check pony club rule books for acceptable dressage bits
INDIVIDUAL/OPEN COMPETITION
Individual Scoring – The winner will be the horse/rider combination who have the fewest total penalties across the all disciplines.
