In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded in full minus any booking fees

Entry fee: £15 per competition, Closing dates for entries: 7/01/2024, 6:2024 & 12/3/2024 Minimum shooting age 8 yrs on the day of the competition, Please read ALL Rules & Regulations, Please upload a competitive start award certificate if competitor wishes to dive from the side of the pool or from the blocks The beanies will swim in a small pool unless they wish to swim lengths. Please indicate if the competitor wishes to swim in the kidney shaped pool. The run will be on the athletics track All competitors MUST be fully paid-up members of the Pony Club. Old Toads and non- members must have appropriate third party insurance cover in place and will be required to sign a disclaimer

Rosette for Best Shoot, Swim, and Run in all classes.
Prize for the highest total score in each class across all three triathlons
TEAMS: Teams of 4 with 3 scores to count, Teams of 4 can be made from entries in any class .
Competitors will be allocated to teams if entered as an individual
Shooting • All competitors are required to have a minimum of 3 practice shooting sessions before their first competition Loaders should be 18 years or over and competent. Younger competitors may load their own guns with permission of the Range Officer in charge and provided that they are accompanied by a responsible adult behind the firing point • In the shooting range, guns must be kept in their cases and be flagged until the Range Officer in charge gives the order to “unbox” and ‘unflag’ them at the start of a Detail. They must be flagged and boxed again before competitors leave the firing point. At all other times air pistols must be stored in their boxes and locked in a secure place (i.e. in a vehicle out of sight). • No person aged under 18 may be responsible for, or carry a gun. An adult must be 21 or over to carry a gun for another competitor • NO GUNS TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED AT ANY TIME
Swimming • Competitors will only start from Diving blocks if they have ticked the Competitive Start Award box and uploaded the competitive start award certificate.• Only one person/coach allowed at end of pool • Please indicate if a competitor needs to swim in an outside lane. • Where competitors are unable to swim without aids or unable swim lengths of the main pool , they will swim in the kidney shaped pool for fun •
Running
The run phase be organised with competitors being set off in groups, a maximum of 10. Entries: Team Trainers or Pony Club officials confirming competitor entries should be satisfied that the competitor is competent to safely undertake each phase.
SCORING & QUERIES: Please ask the team manager to notify the organizer of any scoring queries using the query sheet ASAP. In order for any queries to be made, the final set of results will be confirmed ASAP on the day of the event. If you would like to object or have us check your score, you have 30 mins after publication of the scores. After that time it will be too late to object. Please use the Area 18 tetrathlon query sheet to raise any queries regarding scoring.
The decision of the Judges will be final throughout the competition
COMMUNICATION ON THE DAY:
We hope to have a WhatsApp Group for all communication on the day, if you wish to be included please add a contact number to your entry. We very much want to give the members a great competition and we will expect everyone to play their part in making it so. Live scoring will be on ‘pcresults’
Event Ethos:
We, Area 18 Tetrathlon Committee, would like to assume every member entering our competition has done so with the prospect of enjoyment and the possibility of improving personal and/or team goals. We warmly welcome those new to tetrathlon competition and hope to encourage and enthuse their further participation in this great sport. For parents/carers supporting the competitors, we ask you also to try and enjoy the day and help your children identify the many positive aspects of their participation.

Competitors who are not members of The Pony Club are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Area 18 tetrathlon committee of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover you.
Photographic Rights – by entering this competition, competitors and their guardians give permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons taking part this event to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of The Pony Club and/or official sponsors of The Pony Club.
