Area 18 Showjumping Qualifier classes and non qualifier classes

Carmarthen Bay are pleased to host the show jumping and look forward to welcoming you all.

Ring 1 – Qualifier classes 80cm -110cm

Ring 2 –  70cm qualifier plus non Qualifier classes 60cm and 50cm

Ring 3 –  Clear round and 40cm and 30cm

Please enter in the spirit of the class – only lead reins permitted, so riders who regularly ride off the lead should be entering the 40cm assisted.

Refund, Withdrawals & Entry Changes

No refunds at any time.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel 50% of your entry fee will be refunded, minus any Booking fees.

After the closing date please contact the event Secretary carmarthenbay@pcuk.org to make any changes

Before the closing date please login to your Horse Events Account and cancel your entry. If a refund is due this will be processed automatically. To withdraw after the closing date please contact the event Secretary carmarthenbay@pcuk.org

Entry information

All entries should be made via your Branch DC or Branch Secretary through Horse Events

It is the DC’s responsibility to ensure that their entries all have valid memberships on the date of the event. No person will be allowed to ride if their membership has expired.

Rule Change – A new rule this year means members can enter both PC70 and PC80 (the same combination of horse and rider) , the PC90 and PC100 or the PC100 PC110.

In the non-qualifier classes we will extend this rule, so members can enter two consecutive classes, with the exception of the 30cm class which only allows lead reins. (i.e. if entering the lead rein class, members cannot ride in any other class)

 

Eligibilty

Please refer to the eligibility rules 2024 Show Jumping Rule Book. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and your horse are eligible to enter the class before entries are sent in. All rules are available at – https://pcuk.org/officials/rulebooks/

All entries should be on agreement of the DC of the club.

Legal Liability

Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the Organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor the Pony Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.

Entry Conditions

To be run in accordance with Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2024

Please ensure your members comply with 2024 eligibility, hat tagging (pink hat tags), body protector and responsible adult present.

Please print your own number, to be worn in a suitable manner so it is easily visible to judges and stewards.

Please ensure to keep your area clean, take your rubbish home with you or use the bins provided onsite.

Dogs must be kept on short leads at all times and away from the rings. If they make a mess, please clean up after them .

In Ring 1 there will be a tack inspection only and not turnout competition.

In Ring 2 and 3 there will be a tack and turnout team competition.

Please be ready for your tack inspection 30 minutes before your allotted ride time, you will then be allowed access in to the warm up area where you will then be able to use the practice jump and wait in the collecting ring before your turn to jump.

Teams must present together to be judged for tack and turnout competition. If they do not present in time and together then only a tack inspection will take place.

No one is to proceed into the warm up ring without the tack check taking place prior to this.

All competitors are invited to jump two rounds in their class, if for any reason you do not wish to complete your second round, please let the steward on your ring know so they can mark you off the list.

Queries may only be raised via the Secretary by the DC or their appointee. Protests / objections will be managed as per Rule 5.

Photographic Rights – competitors and their parents/guardians have given permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons or horses/ponies taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of the Pony Club and/or Official Sponsors of the Pony Club.

A valid passport and vaccination record must accompany the horse/pony to this event and must be available for inspection if required by event officials. Vaccinations must be in accordance with the Pony Club Show Jumping Rule Book 2024

The judges decision is final. They may disqualify a competitor at any stage of the competition if in their opinion the horse is sick, lame, exhausted or mistreated in any way including misuse of the whip.

Health & Safety

Owners/riders enter at their own risk. Carmarthen Bay Pony Club or Carmarthen Showground accept no responsibility for loss, damage, or injury to any person, animal or property.

The Organisers of this Event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all the Officials and Stewards.

All organisers and stewards on the day are volunteers. We respectfully ask that all volunteers are treated with respect and spoken to appropriately. Bad language and inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

Parking

Please listen to parking stewards who will direct you where to park on arrival.

Please do not leave horses/ ponies unattended at horseboxes.

Remove all rubbish and take it home with you or use the bins provided.

No mucking out onto field or parking areas.
