Refunds
No Refunds after the withdrawal date for whatever reason. Before this date full refunds to be given.

Entry information
Triathlon/Tetrathlon is open to current Pony Club members only.
Ages as at 1st January 2025
Anyone who has not reached their 8th birthday by the date of the competition (07.06.2025) may only compete in Classes 1 or 2.
Times will be posted on Pony Club Results on 5th June after 6pm
Team information
Teams of 3 or 4, teams may be mixed gender but in same class.
All Team Entries (Free of Charge) can be added via Horse Events Team Manager function or emailed to Katy tetcoordinator.area12@pcuk by 3rd June.
Prizes & Prize Giving
There will be rosettes for 1 – 6th placed teams and individuals, and medals for best swim, shoot and run in each class.
Additional Details
Competition will be run as per the The Pony Club Tetrathlon 2025 Rule Book.
RIDE
- If anyone wishes to jump a course below their class, they should state this on the Entry Form.
- Competitors who jump the course below their own will incur 250 penalties per level jumped down.
- NOTE: You are not able to qualify for JCB Championships if you jump down
- Will include a Slip Rail and Gate (Halt box for Beanies)
- Competitors may be led in Beanies and Tadpoles but will incur 250 penalties for Tadpoles and 150 penalties for Beanies.
- JOCKEY SKULL caps must be worn at all times when mounted with the chinstrap fastened.
- All hats must carry the correct Pony Club, British Eventing or British Riding Club tag.
- It is compulsory that body protectors are worn by all competitors, to meet BETA 2018 Level 3 standard (blue and black label).
- Please remember NO OUTSIDE ASSISTANCE unless you are leading in Beanies or Tadpoles
- As per above, please print your own numbers and bring number bibs.
- No Spurs unless you have a yellow hat tag
- Please print your own numbers: 3 for ride phase – front/back and 1 for lorry/car WITH BIB
PLEASE ALSO NOTE:
HORSES/PONIES MUST HAVE BEEN VACCINATED IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO, BUT NOT WITHIN 7 DAYS OF THE COMPETITION.
- PASSPORTS MAY BE CHECKED ON ARRIVAL AT THE COMPETITION VENUE.
SHOOTING:
- All competitors must have been signed off by their Team Manager
- Guns must be brought to tables in their boxes and opened only on command of the firing point steward.
- They must be boxed again before the competitor leaves the firing point.
- Guns may only be carried by those over 18 years or under the supervision of a person over 21 years.
- Pellets must be the correct, flat headed variety.
- When not in use, guns must be stored in a secure place (ie, in a vehicle, out of sight). Any breach of safety rules may result in disqualification.
- Please ensure competitors are aware that footwear must not cover the ankle (ie, no boots). Long trousers must be worn and there should be no flesh showing beneath the trouser hem.
- Will be held in the Sports Hall; no outdoor shoes allowed so bring clean trainers.
SWIM:
- All competitors must have been signed off as safe to swim and have their dive certificate logged with their entry if they wish to dive.
- Beanies may use swimming aids as long as they are secure (ie no woggles), any aids will incur 250 penalties to ensure those swimming without aids aren’t unduly penalised.
RUN:
- Will be held on the school playing fields
- Numbers will be supplied.
Parking
PARKING:
Upon arrival, please enter at Gate 1 which is at the junction of Valley Lane and Pickford Road. You will be met by an attendant who will direct you to follow the hard track up into the main field where parking will be provided. Please be mindful of vehicles coming back down the track, especially if you have a later start time. We ask that you park considerately, leaving space for your neighbour to safely unload their horse and that you apply your handbrake securely. Do not leave horses tied to your vehicle unattended and please remove all droppings. Parking at the Pony Club Field is at YOUR OWN RISK.
Additional Details
- Please report to the Arena Steward in time to be (visually) tack checked before your allotted time.
- Please follow all directional markings and all instructions from our stewards and volunteers. It is the competitor’s responsibility to be in the right place at the right time.
- We will be running live scoring via Pony Club Results with any extra event information posted there
- There will be catering facilities available.
- The school has requested that we do not use the playground equipment.
- Any objections regarding the scoring for each discipline may ONLY be made by the TEAM MANAGER, and within 20 minutes of the scores being displayed, preferably via WhatsApp.
- Dogs must be on leads in the car park/pedestrian area only and NOT on the course at any time. No dogs allowed on Sunday at the school.
- We hope to be able to give everyone a great, fun competition

Qualifiers
This is the Area 12 Qualifier for the JCB Pony Club Championships.
Qualifying classes are: Tetrathlon Juniors, Intermediates and Opens
The top Mini tetrathletes will be put forward for consideration for the Central England Steppingstones teams at the JCB Championships.
Do not Jump Down if you wish to try and qualify.

IT IS THE COMPETITOR’S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THEIR DRESS AND TACK COMPLIES WITH PONY CLUB REGULATIONS 2024.
COMPETITORS FOUND IN BREACH OF THESE REGULATIONS MAY BE DISQUALIFIED AT ANY TIME DURING OR AFTER THEIR ROUND.
Entry to any Area 12 Tetrathlon Pony Club competition authorises photographs/videos/other images taken by outside agencies/Pony Club. Photographers at the competition may publish in the press and internet for publicity purposes. If you do not wish a photographer to take your photo, please contact the show organiser.
Objections to the Secretary, in writing, within 15 minutes of the incident with a £20 deposit. Deposit will be returned if objection is upheld.
The decision of the Judge is final. They reserve the right to alter/amend or cancel any part of the competition or to refuse any entry without a reason. A competitor may be disqualified/eliminated for the improper conduct or bad language.
Neither the organiser, landowner, nor any person acting on their behalf accept any liability for loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to competitors, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever.

Entries are only accepted on this basis.
